corey
sitting on my balcony watching the dark sky light up with shades of pink and purple, I knew it was going to be a hard day.
I was the first person awake this morning, and with the house dead silent for the first time in days, I could think.
I had no clue how I got here, doing what I love everyday, living with my best friends, living the dream. but I still had trouble sleeping at night, I haven't since she was last here. it's hard to sleep not knowing where she is or how she's doing.
sure, i get plenty of girls, but not the kind you treasure and introduce to your parents. these are the kinds that flock to the money, to the fame.
baseball has changed my life, in most ways good, but the bad outshines all of the good,
losing her.
she is my driving force, the reason that I play, the reason my life is worth living. in the second that it takes for the ball to leave the pitcher's
glove and meet my bat, I think of her. my adrenaline pumps and I hope that maybe, she'll turn on the tv tomorrow morning and see this on the highlights reel and think of me.
so every game, I play as if it's my last, hoping she'll see me, and remember.
