On the platform in the lab, Max and Malo sat talking about Gormogon.
"The Gormogonth thtarted out as good guyth, you know. In the thixteen hundredth, the malignant manipulationth of secret societies like - The Illuminati, The Carbonari, The Masonth, The Tau - were thtarting to be felt. The Gormogonth championedth the ideal of that humanity should be free of thethe pernicious influenceth. Good guyth..." Max said as he fiddled with his hands.
"So you feel sympathy for Gormogon?" Malo asked.
"There are thecret societies working today. It's naive to think otherwithe... You think I'm paranoid, don'th you?"
"Yeah. The question is, how paranoid?"
"Kirstie says there are over thirty victims represented by the thkeleton created by Gormogon and his mathter who has got to be in his eightieth. And we know that there are 7 in the one created by Gormogon and-" He pointed to the picture of the motor. "-his dead apprentithe, including the violinist and the priest. Now my point of view? He'th going after the Knights of Columbuth. Gormogon is nutth!"
Malo thought for a moment. "...Dead apprentice? Gormogon needs a new apprentice. He may have already found one..." He looked up at Max with urgency. "We're looking for a kid in his late teens, early twenties."

As Scott walked into the prison visiting room, Koda stood up, seeing all the cuts. "Scott what happened to you?!"
"I got blown up." Scott shrugged. "Anyways, Koda, I never told dad that you should turn yourself in to Joe."
Koda shook his head. "If I'd come to you, you would have told him anyway. Okay, and what do you mean, Blown up?!"
"It's a case, Koda. It's my job. We're trying to put a bad guy away."
"You mean in here? With other bad guys like me? And dad?"
"There are levels of 'bad guy' Koda, and you're not even on the first level." Scott scoffed.
"...Why do I feel like you just called me a sissy?"
Scott shook his head and got back to the point. "I wanted you to hear it from me Koda. Dad lied. I never told him it was safe to come back."
"I had to come back, Scott."
"For Hayley?"
"Yes. But they are gonna put me away after my parole hearing, yknow."
"It's not just that you violated parole, Koda! They think you know something about Dad's murder case!"
"I don't. Nobody believes anybody in this family. What, becau- Maybe I'm just like him, right? A liar, not worthy of trust..."
"No- Don't say that, Koda, c'mon."
"I am just like him. I am. I had a family. I left them."
"You haven't killed anyone..."
"Is that - That's the most reassuring you can be? 'Hey Koda. Congratulations on never killing anyone'?"
"Being reassuring has never been my strong suit, you know that."
"Levels of "bad" right? And I'm a sissy?"
"It's a good thing, Koda, okay?"
After about a minute of silence, Koda spoke again. "Thanks for helping, Hayley. I love that little girl like she was my own. You believe that don't you?"
