Finding Quinn

Chapter 4:The Scratch

A few weeks after everything went down everything returned to normal. Morgan and I went to the mall and ran into Xander and Anabel.

"Hey Quinn." He said across the aisle.

I just waved and smiled. He acted like nothing even happened between us. When Anabel saw us she kissed Xander.

"I am going to knock her teeth down her mouth." Morgan said.

"It's not worth it." I said. "Xander likes her not me."

"Yes he does." Morgan said. "He's just hiding."

"Morgan stop!" I said almost yelling. "It's not worth it."

She stopped pushing the subject but if I know her she will bring it up later. We walked around for a few hours then I decided I want to go home. We went to my house and crashed in my room. Then I got a text from Xander.

"Want to go camping with my family during vacation?" He asked.

I looked at Morgan and showed her the text.

"I wonder what he's up to." She said. "But if you want to go that would be really cool."

"I'll go." I texted back and said out loud as I typed.

The week of vacation came fast. I had everything packed and I waited for Xander and Morgan to pull in.

When they pulled in i ran to there car. We headed to the camp ground and we stopped I went to get out and was stopped by Xander.

"Morgan and Mom are staying here." He said. "I got us one for ourselves so we don't have to worry about girl stuff."

As we pulled out I mouthed Help me to Morgan but she just smiled and waved. I helped Xander set up the tent and was kind of disappointed. What I thought would be a large tent was one that was ment for three people.

"That's what we have to sleep in?" I asked.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Will it fit the both of us?" I asked.

"Sure." He said. "Come here I'll show you."

He climbed in and I slid in next to him. We where less than an inch a part.

"See." He said with a smile. "I told you we would fit."

We got out and the view was spectacular.

"This is beautiful Xander." I said.

"I was hoping you would say that." He said. "I came out early looking for just right spot."

"You really care about me don't you?" I asked.

"Well duh." He said. "Your my Quinn bear."

Even though I knew he said that just to make me smile I ran over and hugged him. He was a little taken back by the hug but he embraced me anyway.

"Please don't ever leave me." I said.

"Wouldn't dream of it." He said.

Later that day Morgan came to see us. We talked and laughed and I was happy. For once I was with people who actully cared about me.

The camping trip came and went. I missed Xander and Morgan but reality had other plains. We went back to school and life returned to normal once agian. Every time I walked by Anabel would be sucking his face off just to make me hate her even more. The thing she hated most was the fact I smiled everytime she did it.

She may have Xander at school but everything important to him he has shared with me.

One day I got a call from Morgan she wanted to go to the mall. I said sure and went to get her. Xander was standing in the front yard when I got there.

"Hey Xander." I yelled out the passenger side window.

"Hey Quinn." He answered.

"What are you doing today?" I asked.

"The football team is having a car wash to rase money for new jerseys." He said. "You should come over. I'll give you a discount."

"Promise not to hurt my baby?" I asked petting the door.

"I promise." He said with his bright white smile. "I'll even be the only one washing it if you want."

"You have a deal." I said.

I couldn't miss Xander in a bathing suit washing my car. Isn't that not what most dreams are made of? At that time Morgan came out and climbed in my car.

"We are going to Xander's car wash today." I said.

"Really do we have to?" She asked.

"Yes." I said.

We went to the mall and when it was time for the car wash to begin we left. It was at a local fast food place and wasn't hard to find. There where so many hot guys spraying each other with water. When Xander saw me pull in he pointed to a spot off to the side.

"How much will it cost?" I asked.

"For you $10." He said.

I gave him a $100 bill and smiled.

"Really?" He said with a bright smile.

"Yes." I said. "I have been saving up and this seems like a good cause."

Morgan just rolled her eyes. She knew why I did it. He ran over put it in the box and ran back over. When Anabel saw I was the one who gave him the money she walked over to "help".

Then I heard a loud scrapping sound coming from the back passenger door. I got out to see what was going on I saw a large scratch mark on the door and Anabel standing there with a pair of keys in her hand.

"You bitch!" I screamed as loud as I could. "You just keyed my car!"

"Quinn please calm down." Xander said. "I am sure it was an accident."

"No." She said. "I did it on purpose. You need to stay away from my boyfriend you fagget! You got that?"

Just then Morgan came around and punched her in the face and she fell to the ground.

With out saying another word I got in my car and left with Morgan.
