Chapter 1

Maya POV
Hi my name is Maya Hunter. I am 18 years old I live with my mom and step dad Shawn. My dad left when I was really little but my mom found love again and recently married Shawn Hunter. I have a best friend her name is Riley Matthews her dad is pie teacher at NYU he teaches history and her mom is an amazing lawyer but I like to call her an Amazon warrior. I have an amazing boyfriend Joshua Matthews he is 2 years older than me and yes he is related to Riley he is her uncle but she is okay with that. In fact he is coming over right now to celebrate our one year anniversary.
(Hears a knock on the door she jumps up and opens the door)
J= josh and M=Maya
She opened the door and gave him a gigantic hug
J: I missed you
M: I missed you more
J: so what do you want to do tonight
M: my parents aren't home so why don't we stay here and I'll make something to eat
J:ok
M:what do you want to make for dinner
J: can you make some mashed potatoes
Maya rolled her eyes
J: you know you love me
Maya blushes. She makes some mashed potatoes and some grilled chicken. They finish eating and go sit down on the couch.
J: I love you
M: I love you too
He kissed her gently on the lips but then he deepened the kiss and they kissed passionately for 5 minutes until Josh broke it
J:why don't we take this to the bedroom he asked but not really meaning for it to be a question. He guided her to her room.
