Addison's POV:
"Ermm....i-it's not what it seems like V-Vanessa.." I stammered.
Vanessa glared at Michael and I. I felt her eyes starring through me. My face flushed a bright red. I squirmed in my chair. I always had a very hard time with people staring at me. It made me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. I tried as hard as possible to avoid eye contact with Vanessa.
"Liar! See you can't even look at me without getting all flustered and fidgety." Vanessa spat.
I looked down. My face was an even brighter shade of red than earlier with my run-in with Calum. My hands started to sweat. I am a very awkward human-being. I don't do very well in social situations, and this was way more than i could handle.
Michael looked at me, noticing my discomfort, and tried to help with the Vanessa issue.
"Vanessa.." Michael started, "Addison wasn't watching you two make-out. She just happened to glance over there and see you two basically eating each others' face."
"She was still watching us!" Vanessa yelled.
"C'mon Vanessa," Luke said, putting his hand on her shoulder, "let's go.."
As Luke and Vanessa started to walk away, Luke turned his head to look at me and winked. I thought it was just my imagination, but I looked over to Michael and he was just as surprised as I was. We both just looked at each other in shock.
"Did Luke just wink at you?" Michael questioned.
"I-I think so" I said, still in shock.
Michael and I sat in silence for the rest of the time till it was time for my maths class.
*2 hours later*
"I swear I failed that test," I groaned."I'm going to be grounded for a month if I did."
"Well you probably did better than me, if that counts for something" Michael shrugged.
"Probably not," I sighed as I grabbed my milk.
"Oh well, I'll help bail you out if you do" Michael smirked.
"Thanks" I said sarcastically.
It was Tuesday, which meant that it was Taco Tuesday. Most people would go crazy for a Taco Tuesday, but not at my school. The taco shell was always stale. The tomatoes looked like they were on the verge of being rotten, and don't get me started on the meat.
I looked up from my phone for a minute to say something to Michael, but I was soon interrupted by a taco flying past my head. I turned to see where the taco landed. I soon found out it landed on a girl named Violet. I never really talked to her, but I knew that she was the loner type of girl. She never really talked much, and I felt bad for her. After she got hit by the taco she just got up and walked away like it didn't phase her. I wanted to say something, but I decided not to. I didn't feel like getting pelted by a taco today.
I turn my head, and smack! I spoke too soon. A taco came catapulting into my face. It exploded on impact. I had taco shell in my hair, sauce all over my face, and tomato in my nose.
I was mortified. First, I was teased by Calum, second, I was caught looking at Luke and Vanessa's make-out extravaganza, and now I have mystery meat in my ponytail.
This day officially became one of the worst I've had in a long time. My eyes started to tear up. I began to shake. I needed to escape this situation. I had no clue who threw the taco and how it ended up landing on me. I just knew I needed to leave. This day was already embarrassing enough. I knew if Calum saw me he'd tease me more.
I gathered my phone and what I had with me at lunch and rushed to the nearest bathroom with my head down. I didn't want anyone to see me in this state. I was so embarrassed and scared of what would come next out of this day.
I walked in the bathroom and thankfully no one was in there with me. I started picking the taco shell and meat out of my hair.
"I can't believe this," I muttered to myself "I wish this day would just end and I could forget all of this ever happened."
After I cleaned up my face and the remains of the shattered taco on my clothes, I walked out of the bathroom with my head still down.
Next thing I knew I slammed into someone. I caught a glimpse of the person. Their blonde hair was messy. He smelled of expensive cologne. He was dressed in black jeans with a white button up messily tucked into his pants.
I tumbled backwards mumbling sorry. Then everything went black.
