Lady and the Recluse

It's morning, the sun is out and shinning. A reclusive woman sits listening to the sounds of the morning, as the birds are singing and squirrels chittering to one another, her wind chimes dangle against each other in the light breeze that rustles through the trees. She looks up and out into her yard, where her precious Lady lies basking in the warmth provided by the early morning sun. Lady feels the woman's gaze on her and moves to see her clearly. A quiet clicking calls Lady to the woman, and soon Lady has curled up in her lap dozing contentedly, as the woman brings out her favorite book and reads well into the afternoon.
