Specials: A Blue Top Club Book

The music from the mansion boomed so loud that the small patches of puddled water vibrated beside me. This wasn't any mansion-- this was on of the many parties hosted by the Blue Top Club. If a party was happening, then everyone knows that a new batch of Specials were just sworn in-- i.e. my best friend Kai included. He was a year older than me which ages him at nineteen. Once we turn nineteen then we were escorted away from our side of the quarters and taken to the so called "promise land" where freedom is all anyone has. 

And I can't wait for my turn-- and to be with Kai of course. We always dreamed of becoming Specials together and we would sit at the park across the lake that separated our territories to watch the parties last all night long it seemed. 

"Stef! What the hell are you doing?"

Apparently I was subconsciously stepping out of the bushes towards the mansion. 

"Stop! We aren't suppose to be that close." I felt a slight tug on my shirt sleeve which ultimately snapped me back to reality. 

"-- Ugh can't you just see it now? Being over there and loving life." I looked over at Amelia, who was trying her best to keep me away from being seen. Her red curly locks crowded her thin, pale face. 

"Of coarse, but I would like to do it alive and not in jail for trespassing into Special territory!" Amelia began to tug harder on my sleeve. 

I ignored her pleas and kept talking, "I bet Kai is over there now. I bet he wants me to crash the party." My eyes brighten at the words.  

"Are you bloody mad?" A deep British voice echoed behind us, making Amelia squeal in fear. 

"Can-it, Dimitri. Go back to your holding cell." I twirl my body around to glare at him. He wasn't the nicest person here but how he managed to follow us after hours is a mystery to me. 

"As long as you join me." Dimitri shot me a flirtatious wink as he spoke while Amelia motioned a puking facial expression. 

By this time, I was getting annoyed with him. "Just leave okay? I'm trying to think of a way into the party." I shooed him away and turned back to the mansion. 

"No Stef, you've gotta be kidding right?" Amelia stepped back towards the dorms. 

"Don't be such a wimp Mel, it'll be fun." I straightened my shirt and looked to her. 

"I'm outta here. You're on your own." Amelia ran back to the dorms before I could even call after her. 

Well that went well. 

"I'm still here, love." Dimitri stepped out of the shadows causing me to roll my eyes. 

"I guess you'll do. Come on."
