Agent Erasmus was working on his 50th case with the Government.
Half-century. Not bad, he thought.Just this last piece of code.
Almost 50 million hackers tried every day to intrude the government system. It was really difficult, but not impossible. At least 5 in the 50 million had the talent with the codes and found one way or another to enter the system, no matter how long it took. Mostly those cases came once a month or sometimes, twice. By the time one case was solved, another case was in hand. It was always enough to keep Agent Erasmus busy. It was not just about being busy though, Erasmus enjoyed his work. It was what he always wanted to do.
Erasmus stared at the desktop. He realized he was too close to the monitor only when his nose touched the screen. He leaned back in his chair and looked at the codes that were displayed on the screen. This time the system had been infected by a user only 30 kms away.
We should arrest that bastard. He was unable to find a way to block this code out. Just as he was thinking of going back home, an acute pain shot to the back of his head. Déjà vu.
It was not the first time the pain had arised. He knew exactly what it meant and looked at the screen. The codes were making sense to him now.
As he finished arranging the last code, the pain subsided. As he let out a sigh of relief, he heard a faint noise of a feminine laugh.
He turned back, the office was filled with the other 4 senior officials of communication department. Must've been Hannah.
