Mommy, why didn't you save us?
You were a perfectly functioning human being.
You could have helped.
But you didn't.
You let me take care of your childeren,
While you sat back and received their affection.
Mommy, why didn't you love us?
You could have saved us, from all the pain, from all heartache.
You could have kept him at bay,
You could have hid us away.
Mommy, why didn't you help us?
You could have gotten a job,
You could have pitched in.
Instead, you spent all your time,
Teaching me how to run YOUR kitchen.
Mommy, why did you say those things?
I was hurt, not just physically,
Emotionally, mentally,
You called me stupid,
But I was open minded, and you were ignorant.
Mommy, why didn't you save us?
