Katsuki was walking home angrily, he did it, he asked him, but it had to be the most infuriating thing he has ever done. However he wasn't about to fail. While he was walking, he started to think what they would even do tomorrow. He can't remember much of what Izuku likes besides hero stuff. Because of this he started to wrack his brain planning things out, but then immediately got angry feeling that he was putting too much effort into it.
"GrrrrrrAAHHH!!" He roared in anger. "This is too much f**kin' work, ugghh I don't even care!!"
He didn't really in his opinion, but he swore if this didn't work he would just get rid of that pain once and for all. So with this in mind, he just decided to wing it, and try to get it over with as soon as possible. Finally making it home.
Izuku was walking home as well, he made his decision about tomorrow, but it still confused him. What would Katsuki possibly want, he knew they were past the point of petty fights. So he thought that he probably wouldn't just invite him somewhere to beat him up or anything like that. He sighed and finally made his way into his house, still pondering the previous events for the millionth time.
"Hi honey, how was your day?" Said Inko walking towards the doorway to greet him.
"Oh, i-it was fine." Said Izuku, noticeably on edge.
"What wrong, you seem like you have something on your mind." Said Inko concerned.
"I'm fine mom, it's just-" Izuku then thinks about what Katsuki asked him earlier again.
"I was uh, asked to g-go out with someone tomorrow." Izuku said stuttering a bit.
"Oh that's great honey! Who was it, one your new friends?" Inko said excitedly.
"Um not exactly." Izuku said nervously.
"Hm, then who?" Inko asked curiously.
"It was um.....K-Kacchan." Izuku muttered, almost whispering that last words.
"Wha-Katsuki, you two haven't gotten together since you were little." Inko said confused.
" I know, I don't get it either, I'm not really sure what to do about it." Izuku said looking down, and playing with his fingers.
"Hmmmm." Inko started to think about it too, wandering why Katsuki would ask him something like that. She was just as knowledgable as anybody in knowing that they weren't on the same terms for a long time, so why he sudden invite. Then, with a small gasp, and idea popped into her head.
"I think you should go!" She says as her face lights up, moving closer towards Izuku.
"Huh, w-why?!" He said surprised that his mom was actually agreeing to this.
"Because Izuku, don't you see, Katsuki could be trying to make amends." She says, ecstatic.
WHA?! N-No way." Izuku said extremely skeptical.
"Trust me Izuku, I know he is, why else would he ask you." Inko said, reassuringly grabbing Izuku's wrist.
"W-Well I don't know but....but why so sudden, and why would he even want to?" Izuku said still confused and a little downtrodden.
"Well sweetie, he may just feel like it's not worth it anymore." She said, squeezing his wrist a little bit.
"What do you mean?" Izuku said looking her in the eye.
"What I mean is that, he may not feel like fighting anymore. He's probably finally past that now." Inko said with a calm and encouraging smirk.
After she said that Izuku's brain started malfunctioning and overriding. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, was there actually a possible chance of that. After all these years Katsuki didn't want to fight anymore, after all this time could they actually be on the same page. That's when his heart started racing and his breath quickened to pace that made it seem like he was hyperventilating.
"Izuku are you ok?" Inko asked concerned.
Izuku swallowed hard because there was a large lump forming in his throat, and he tried to take a deep breath before he answered. "Y-Yeah I...."
Almost every part of him started to shake, he really couldn't believe it, but at the same time deep in his gut he may of felt a small twang of excitement. A whole wave of emotions was washing over him, but in the mist of it all he knew one thing. If there was any chance of this happening in the slightest he had to jump on it, and never let it go. Deep in his heart since day one he has always wanted this, but there was a time when couldn't just stay in the sidelines anymore. That's where their discourse started, but now there ways a chance to change all that. He needed to take it, he had to take it.
"I-I'll do it." He quietly said, starting to blush a little.
"Oh Izuku this is great, I just know it will go off without a hitch!" Inko said happily.
"Hehe, yeah maybe." Izuku said a little flustered.
"Hehe, soooo where's he taking you?" Inko asked.
"Uh, I don't know actually, he just kinda told to meet him outside the house at 1:00p.m." Responded Izuku.
"Hmmm well that doesn't give us much of a clue does it." Inko said pondering.
"Yeah, I guess it doesn't." Izuku said agreeing.
"Well, we do know one thing." Inko said confidently.
"What's that?" Izuku curiously asked.
"What your gonna wear of course!" Inko said with a sparkle in her eye.
"Huh, why should that matter?" Izuku asked confused.
"The proper attire is important for any occasion, even this one." She said, sounding like she knew what she what taking about.
"Uh, ok sure." Izuku said hesitantly agreeing .
"Hmm, tell you what, I'll go shopping a little later for some new clothes ok?" Inko offered.
"Oh, no mom that's ok you don't have to." He calmly declined.
"It's alright Izuku, I was going anyway. I could use a little updating to my wardrobe." She said with a smirk.
"Oh alright, but are you sure about picking an outfit for me?" Izuku asked questioningly.
"I've done it for years already I can do it again, trust me I'll pick out the perfect outfit."
She said reassuringly.
"Heh ok." Izuku responded happily.
"But first dinner, I made your favorite." She said practically skipping towards the kitchen.
"Oh cool, thanks." He says following after her.
During this Katsuki was also thinking about tomorrow again. He was in his room starring at the ceiling, remembering how he asked Izuku earlier to go out with him. Once he did he started to feel an immediate wave of embarrassment, and then yelled to the top of his lungs in frustration.
"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!" He screamed, angrily scratching his head.
"Hey, what are you yelling about in there now!" Yelled Mitsuki from the other side of Katsuki's door, banging on it.
"None of your business!" Yelled Katsuki back.
"I'm about to make it my business, if you sass me one more time!" Mitsuki retaliated.
"Whatever!" Katsuki screamed back.
"That's it!" She says before she bursts through the door.
"What do you think your doing?!" Yelled Katsuki.
"I'm-" She stops and takes a deep breath before she starts to yell again. "I'm trying to see what's wrong with you."
"Well there's nothing wrong so you can leave now, bye!" Katsuki said, with a bit too much sass.
"Cmon you came home with a bigger attitude than usual." Mitsuki said with a bit of concern.
"So f**kin' what?" Katsuki responded.
"So f**kin' what is that your my son, and I need to know when something's up. So just, talk to me." She said calmly.
Katsuki sighed. "What if I don't want to."
"Then I'm not leaving this room, and I know you want me gone so spill it." She demanded.
With an annoyed grunt, he figured with that logic he might as well. Not really feeling up for an argument.
"Ugh fine I....I invited someone out." He said hesitantly.
"Oh really, my son, Katsuki Bakugou, out of all people." She said sarcastically.
"Y-Yeah I did, now shut it!" Katsuki yelled, slightly embarrassed.
Hey, don't tell me to shut it before I make you shut it permanently, now keep going!" She said yelling the command.
"Well what f**kin' else do you wanna hear?" He questioned.
"Hmmm I don't know, maybe who you actually invited out?!" She said.
"GAHH!! It was just that f**kin' nerd Deku!!!!" He yelled in frustration.
"Izuku you two haven't hung out in ages," she said curiously.
"Tell me something I don't know!" He sassed back.
"Nah, but you can tell me something I don't know which is why you even asked in the first place." She questioned.
"I-I don't know! I just-" Katsuki then began to ponder his actions. He knew why he did it, but should he have. Was this even worth it anymore.
"You just wanted to bury the hatchet?" She tried to finish for him.
"What!" Katsuki said snapping out if it.
"Listen honey, we all know you and Izuku haven't exactly been in the same page for a while now. Maybe this is your way of saying you don't want that anymore." She said sincerely.
"Wha-no you listen. That Deku has always been a pain since as long as I can remember. I just have more important things to focus on than that pebble. But that's all he'll ever be, and I won't hesitate to make him remember. Grrrrrr I just don't feel like dealing with him anymore!" Katsuki's hands then start to smoke, and his brething becomes erratic during his rant.
"Hmm, so you figured if you could spend one day with him, and at least be on mutual terms. You wouldn't gave to fight as much anymore, but you're still gonna 'make him remember his place' when you need to. She said, sarcastically putting finger quotes over the last few words.
Katsuki gasped hesitantly, surprised that his mom had such a clear read of the situation and his feelings. Pouting when he said the next few words. M-Maybe, but how did you-"
"I'm your mother, I know exactly what your feeling and thinking every time. I guess you can say it's a special little quirk we all poses." She said, cutting him off.
Katsuki noticeably scoffed at that last statement.
"Hey it true, but aside from that I wanna hear what you actually plan on doing tomorrow."  She said slyly.
"Pssh, like I need to plan for this pointless sh*t." He scoffed.
"So your telling me you have nothing planned, at all." She tried to clarify.
"Yeah, so what." He said.
"The so what is that I wanna make this as painless for you as possible, and part of that is being organized." She explained.
"Pssh, whatever, so what do you suggest." He said irritated.
Hmmm, maybe you could." She then got closer to Katsuki, and started to circle around him. "Take him to the mall, maybe a cafe or two, the aquarium had few new exhibits." She says, starting to get list in her suggestions.
"You gotta be sh*tin' me." Said Katsuki.
"Nope!" She replied bluntly.
Katsuki sighed loudly, and threw his head back in annoyance and surrender. He had to agree that having a plan would be a lot less strenuous than winging it.
"Ugh fine, I'll take him to the mall then maybe the cafe, but how the f**k am I supposed to get tickets for the sh*ty aquarium." Katsuki asked.
"I'll take care of that, you just take care of not looking like a mess." She snickered.
"What?!" Katsuki yelled back.
"Nothing, now come downstairs I made spicy curry for dinner." She said as made her way out of Katsuki's room.
"Mm, fine." Katsuki finally replied, following after her.
