The rain beat against the glossy window of Teacher Duncan's classroom. Each droplet made a 'smack' noise, before rolling down the rest of the glass' smooth surface. "Class dismissed!" His voice pulled me from my trance on the window. "Remember to do your homework!" Duncan hollered, half the class already out the door. 'BBBrrrinngggg'. There was a vibration in my left pocket. 'Probably a text...' I thought, not in the mood to talk to people. 'What if it's Kevin~' My subconscious teased. Curiosity overtook me, and I ended up hanging with the other Ghost Chasers. Our intentions seemed inoccent enough. Just tell a few scary stories while huddled around a campfire with the other club members. Yeah, but some of the worst things in history have been done out of "good intentions".
This time was no exception.
A group of paranormal investigators swap some spooky stories,
Accidentally summon a demon,
And awaken a curse.
Yet, in the midst of all this discord, two young ghost enthusiasts find something not quite paranormal.
Love.
Y/N's POV:
"You guys saw that... Right? Or am I just trippin'?" Max asked. The others nodded , including me. "K-Kevin, what do you think about all this?" My voice was shaky, but I managed to stay calm. "Gee, Y/N.. I honestly don't know. But we finally have some real paranormal activity going on!" The corners of his lips curved upwards into a grin. "Yeah! Ghost Chasers, we have a case on our hands!" Kevin continued. A chorus of cheers and whoops erupted from the other club members. "First thing after school, we meet up here at headquarters. We'll start tomorrow!" Kevin announced. One by one, people began to disperse. "Well, cya weirdos later!" I hollered, stepping out into the rain. This was going to be a long case. We've never dealt with this kind of stuff before. Heck, most of us didnt even understand the stuff we dealt with already. Of course we weren't professionals. Kevin wasn't either. No one knew what we were getting into... Yet, that didn't stop us.
The sound of fists striking glass awoke me from my restless slumber. Apparently it's hard to sleep when there's a murderous demon walking around town. I slowly stood, deciding not to turn on the lamp. A pair of green goggles shone in from the window. Kevin. "The hell, dude! It's like 12:30!" I whisper-yelled, opening the window. A soggy Kevin crawled in from the rain. "I was worried that the demon came for you..." Kevin whispered, pushing me towards the bed. "W-what are you doing?" I asked, ducking out of his grasp. "Making sure you get to bed. If you're in one spot, then I can find you easier if I have to." Wow, that didn't seem creepy at all! "Well, you have to sleep, too!" I protested, shoving him onto the fluffy sheets. 'Wait, he's soaked in rain water...' I looked down at the soggy puddle of water on my bed. At least it could be cleaned up. "Kevin, go and take a shower. I'll try to find something for you to wear." He nodded, wandering down a hallway. "What am Ingoing to do with you..." I muttered to myself. A tinge of red spread out across the bridge of my nose and cheeks.
About 30 minutes later, Kevin came back. A towel hung loosely from his waist. Small droplets of water dripped from his ruffled brown hair. They clung to his pale skin, giving him a glittery effect. "Here." I tossed him a gray sweater and blue sweatpants. "See if these fit you. I'm going to bed!" Sleepily, I stomped off to my newly made bed. "I'm making you do my laundry tomorrow. Since I have to clean the old sheets, your clothes, the clothes you're borrowing, and that towel!" I spoke, falling backwards onto the F/C bed. Kevin angrily muttered something under his breath. "Fine." He finally replied.
Sleep, at last!
