//Picking The Solo Mission//

So I'm gonna try and make this my best story. So all the updates will be slow, just a warning. I hope you like it :)

Natsu's POV

I sat at the guild waiting for my best friend and partner, Lucy Heartfilia. When she gets here I plan on asking to go on a mission with her. *smiles*

I go up to the bar where Mira always is, and ask for a glass of water, she smiles and fills a glass cup with tap water. I gladly take it from her and say thanks. She smiles and walks over to serve other guild mates.

I smile as I think of luce.

"What cha smiling about, Flame brain?" Ice princess questioned. I blushed, I couldn't tell GRAY of all people that I'm smiling over lucy! Could I?

"Nothing ice pop" I replied back, harshly.

"Ooo feisty" Ice princess jokes.

"come at me droopy eyes" I replied cracking my knuckles, getting out of my seat to start a fight.

"Sure thing, you ass" ice pop replies cracking his knuckles as well.

Narrator's POV

Gray and Natsu began to fight as the rest of the guild joined in soon after, but what they didn't notice was a certain blonde celestial mage walk into the guild.

She walked over to the request board and searched for a good job to take alone.

She'll admit people have called her weak but that's not the reason she's going alone. It's because, well she needs a break from team Natsu, she feels as if she doesn't get any action in the missions and let's everyone else do the job.

So now, Lucy Heartfilia will be going on one of her first solo missions, well she has gone on solo missions but they were really easy, like fishing, getting a cat out of a tree, buying something for the old. Stuff like that.

But this mission was gonna be her biggest, and Lucy wasn't gonna lose.

Lucy's POV

I was looking at some of the request on the board, when one caught my attention.

Request: "Kill giant monster in forest!!!!! Please, many people are dying and no one will take our request!!!!! If you succeed the reward will be 6,000,000 million jewels. Location: golden city. Please Come ASAP!!!!!!

"I guess I should take this job" I told myself as I walked up to Mira.

"Hey Mira! I'm taking a solo! Could you stamp it for me please?" I asked kindly

"Sure thing! But are you sure you wanna go on a mission alone?" She asked concerned

"Yeah I'm sure!" I smiled, Mira smiled back as she finished stamping and looking over it.

"Good luck! And have fun" She yelled as I walked away from the bar. "Thank you, and I will!" I replied back

As I was walking natsu came running up to me. I stopped and tilted my head in confusion.

"Hi natsu, what's up?" I smiled

"Hiya!! Luce, I was wondering if we could go on a job together!" Natsu said smiling brightly.

I smiled back sadly "sorry natsu, I can't I'm already going on a mission alone, maybe next time?"
I told him

Natsu's smile disappeared "oh.....yeah maybe next time. But luce...... please be safe, k?" Natsu said smiling again.

"Ok" I smiled sweetly and walked out of the guild.

"Luce......." I heard natsu whisper as the doors of the guild began to close tight.

"Natsu I'll be fine......" I said out loud to nobody.

I'm sorry it's such a short chapter!!!!!!!! It's literally 1:05 am and I have school tomorrow, rip
