"Marinette can handle herself, after all she is Ladybug." Adrien nodded in agreement. 'Yeah, I should give Marinette the benefit of the doubt. She'll be able to pull it off.'

============================================================

'I won't be able to pull this off!' She had been fumbling so badly on the piano while waiting for the instructor, she was for sure going to destroy Adrien's reputation. However the instructor had a sudden emergency and had to cancel, but they still had time before the fencing lesson, and the Chinese instructor was available. Marinette recalled how awful it was trying to speak Chinese to her uncle, and how Adrien, unironically, came to her rescue. 'I can't even use a phone translator correctly, how am I going to get pass this?!' As if reading her mind Plagg went up and whispered to her ear.

"Don't worry about the Chinese lesson, I've listened in on all their lessons, I'll help you out." Marinette felt calmer, but still a lit trepidatious.

"Won't they see or hear you?" Plagg shook his head.

"No, he's almost always preoccupied, you know making tea or having to go see his customers for his other business."  Marinette was getting more intrigued by the minute of this instructor, he sounded very odd and she wanted to know more.

"How long has Adrien been going to this teacher?" Plagg tired remembering back to when these lessons began.

"Right after he started going to public school, he's old teacher suddenly quit, but she directed his father to this new one. She highly recommended him, and that's how we ended up with him." Marinette nodded and the were at a little Chinese shop. It looked somewhat familiar to Marinette, but she couldn't quite place it. The Gorilla led her to a back room, that had a table in the middle and on the back wall was an old gas stove that had an ornamental tea kennel. The Gorilla waited outside the door and Marinette sat down while waiting for the teacher.

Marinette's breath caught in her throat as she saw who it was: it was the old man who had healed Tikki during the fight with Princess Fragrance. The old man took the seat opposite her and greeted her with a gentle smile.

"I'm glad you were able to make it today, I was hoping I'd get to see you today." Marinette gave an awkward smile and nodded. The man chuckled at her and stroked his beard. "So do you remember where we left off?" Some sweat had begun to roll from the top of Marinette's head, and looked down at Plagg, who was under the table out of the sight of the old man, but he shook his head. 'Thanks for listening closely Plagg!' Marinette scolded Plagg in her head.

"Umm... sir? I uh-" The old man gave a small laugh, which caught Marinette off guard.

"Please, I've told you to call me Fu; sir is much to formal. Also I do admit my last lesson was a bit confusing, so I do not expect you to remember it clearly." There came a ringing from the distance, and Fu sighed. "Excuse me for a moment I have a customer in the other room, but don't worry," he pulled out a work packet and placed it in front of Marinette. "You'll have this to do this for review until I get back." Fu walked out of the room, leaving a freaked out Marinette. Plagg came out from under the table, Marinette's eyes darted to him.

"Plagg! I thought you said you listened to the lessons!" Plagg shrugged, not looking the least bit sorry.

"Well sorry, maybe I get a little sleepy. Don't worry I've been around for thousands of years and have spoken each language a few dozen times. Some modern Chinese should be a snap." Marinette reluctantly started on the first page, Plagg showed her how to properly write the symbols and translate the questions. There were only a handful of times that Plagg had to stop and remember what some of the words meant. They managed to get a few pages in before Fu had returned.
