Moana was sitting in her class, in her University. She was sitting there listening to the lecture until her mobile phone startled her.

''Would you like a lift home?"
The message wrote.

At first Moana freaked out. She questioned 'who is it, who's got my number..?' But then she realised it must've been a prank. The bell rang and Moana got her things packed up ready to go home. As soon as she walked out of the building she saw a poster advertising a singing competition. Moana eagerly wanted to enter but her anxiety held her back. She forgot all about the poster and started to walk home.

All of a sudden a car skidded to a stop, right in front of the her. The car gave a deaf stare and the rear window slid down. A voice called out to her. She went closer and closer towards the car. She saw a boy. He had the kind of face that stopped you in your tracks. She guessed he must get used to that; the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they looked his way followed by overcompensating- with a nonchalant gaze and a weak smile. Of course the blush that accompanied it was a dead giveaway. It didn't help that he was so modest with it, it made the girls fall for him all the more. Despite all the opportunity that came his way he was a one-woman-man who prized genuineness and thoughtful conversation above lipstick and high-heels. He was handsome alright. She couldn't stop staring at him.

Then he interrupted her moment when he asked a stalky conversation.

"Do you want a lift, it was me who texted you?" The boy sweetly said.

'I thought to myself'.

Maybe he was flirting with her or maybe he was putting her in danger...luring her into the car... She put beside all the questions she had and got in the car with him. She accidentally brushed her smooth chocolate hair gently on his face -which he obviously enjoyed but didn't show it. Their eyes met each others as he saw her eyes sparkle and reflect into his. Their never ending conversation was about how he had noticed Moana in class, how much pride she takes in when it came to her studies. As much as she loved the praises and flattery she couldn't fall for him. She weren't like those other girls. So Moana changed the subject and asked those questions she had in her mind when she first saw him:

" How do you know where I live... How did you get my number... Why did you offer me a lift home...?"

'He probably thinks I'm a right freak - pretending I'm an inspector...'

She thought to herself as she started to make a conversation.

But he started to stutter and so she changed the subject once again. She started talking about the Christmas Holidays and what they both were planning to do. He sounded genuine; these moments within the car made her feel safe and filled her up with laughter and happiness. As she started to get to know him more, out of the blue, a pair of lustrous and gleaming lights came darting towards them. They couldn't control the car ( because of the wintery weather) and the opposite car was getting out of control because of its speed. Moana tried to help him by putting her hands on the steering wheel but neither of them could stable the car. The car kept spinning and swerving. Moana knew where this was going and if she got a single injury she would kill him for landing her in that situation.

Will they survive? Is the boy who he really says he is? I know this is the beginning, might be boring or not? But it gets better lol. Like and comment.
