The Gift

Chapter 1

AUDREY POV

I was staring at the ceiling for merely an hour now, thinking of how my whole life will tumble and fall, after that man, Jamie Dewitt, broke and bankrupted my family. Cruel mouse, never thinking about the right and wrong. I shook my head and said my prayers and went to sleep. 

I ran towards the bus stop to catch the 6:00 am bus, panting and catching my breath, I missed the damn bus again!
''Damn it!'' I sighed in rage and stress.''I knew it. I should NOT have listened to Erica and Jobelle. I missed the 6:00 am bus. I was just going to school and now I missed it.''
I continued my rage within what happened just now, stompping my foot and hitting my hand to my face and many more. Suddenly a car stopped in front of me splashing water from the rain puddle towards my coat. ''Hey!'' I complained ''watch where you're going pal!'' I slammed the car as a sign of anger to the driver. Suddenly, the owner went out. A devilish handsome man, with messy hair. I was so darn speechless that I was paralyzed by what I saw. ''Say, were you Audrey Jimenez, one of the top pupils of my class?'' he asked as his blue eyes stared closely towards my hazel ones. OMG! Its Alexis Nikolai-Collins, the son of Alexandria Nikolai and Thomas Collins. I cannot believe it. It actually HIM! I felt frozen. Until he snapped ''Audrey?! Audrey?!''. Wait why does he sound like my mom? As the sound goes, does his voice sound like my mom?

Then I awoke. Man that was just a dream?! I can't believe it mom's waking me up again, as usual in the day. I can't stop think about my dream. Why was Alexis Nikolai Collins in my dream? I mean he has girlfriend, why can't I stop thinking about him? Well, its embarrassing to say he was my crush since middle school. But, why now? I moved on from my feelings for him. Come on world, are you tying us up to each other's heart?! Cause, I don't want to.
Okay Audrey. Its just a dream.  I told myself in sigh and relief. I finished my breakfast and grabbed my bag and headed for school.
