Cubed Chapter 13: Back On The Path...

"We swapped spots with the others so we can have some more in death conversations then small talk," Virgo says sitting down next to Cancer. Scorpio sat down next to me.
"So, what are we talking about?" Scorpio asks and I panic.

"We're talking about how messed up this place is," Taurus says as he manoeuvres his knife and fork around his plate I let out I sigh of relief and make a mental not to thank him later.

"Of course, what else," Virgo says sighing.

"I hate it, it doesn't add up or follow any principles," he says and we all start to get quiet thinking about how right he was.

"Let's try talking about something a little less depressing," Capricorn says and we have a nice meal before the long walk ahead.

Leo's POV:

I quickly grabbed a plate and sat down Sag was on my left and Aqua was on my right talking with Pisces. They ended their conversation and started another one with the whole group when Gemini and Aries arrive with plates full of food. Aries was looking rather gloomy.

"What's your problem?" Sag asked as she ate another mouthful of food.

"Scorpio took all the chocolates," he said pouting as he sat down.

"Did he eat all of them?" I asked.

"No he gave one to Cap and one to Libra," He says sadly.

"Bet you regret not being friends with him now," Sag said laughing. I think I like Sag, I mean sure she might be annoying and a bit weird, but, I don't know, she's kinda cool. I looked across the table and saw Aries cleaning some food from the side of Gemini's mouth. Gemini blushes and hides her face in embarrassment. I lean over to Sag.

"Are those to dating or what?" I ask and she shrugs.

"I don't know, bout its no secret that they like each other, at least to everyone watching," she says as we laugh at the awkwardness between the two. I look up at Sag and she looked at me confused.

"What?" She asked. Oh no, I've fallen hard.

"Nothing," I say and she goes back to eating.

We started walking again and I'm looking forward all of a sudden Libra falls up a head of me and Scorpio helps her up once they stand Libra doesn't let go of his hand. He looks confused at first but then seems to understand. He shakes his head smiling before griping her hand back and walking again. We came across another chest and it was full of the same sort of weapons as the last one. There are swards, daggers, little arrows and matching bows to shoot them out of.

"Why would we need these weapons?" I ask and Aries and Capricorn exchange a scared look.

"Just make sure everyone has something to fight with," he says and we all start to chose our weapons.

Capricorns POV:

"Make sure you take this to, just incase," I say smiling as I hand another dagger to Virgo.
"That thing in the maze that's what it's for right?" He asks looking worried.
"I think so," I replied and he looks concerned.
"You had to fight it, didn't you?" He asks and I think back to the moment it knocked me unconscious.
"The stupid voice said it was going to be a cat," I say as I feel my eyes start to water. Virgo stands up and gives me a hug. As we hug I take the opportunity to let the tears I've been holding in from the beginning run down my cheeks. Of cause it doesn't tale look for it to be interrupted.

"Cap, there you are," Libra says cheerfully from behind me, I quickly whip the tears from my face with my fingerless gloves and we separate from our hug.

"Oh, sorry, it's just Scorpio wanted to ask you something," she says and I look over to Scorpio.

"Thanks, Libra," I say before walking off.

"What's your stinger stuck in this time?" I ask crossing my arms.

"This dagger thing can you open it?" He asks. I take the take the lid off and give it back to him.

"Oh, look at that your a magician!" He says with fake surprise.

"Is that it?" I asked confused.

"Yeah that's all,"

"Okaaay," I say before turning around.
"Oh wait actually I was meaning to ask something," He says causing me o turn back around.
"Has someone been talking to Libra?" He asks and I can't help but smile.

"Haha, well who'd of thought your advice works," I say laughing at the turn of events.

"So, does that me she was asking about me?" He asks smirking.

"Congratulations looks like you've got an admirer," I say still smile.

"Make sure you don't hurt her," I say taking my turn at giving him advice as I turn around to go back to Virgo. It was at that moment the ground started to shake and the Voice beamed.

"These playing have been selected to fight for you!" The ground underneath me tilts and I start to fall. I heard Virgo call my name as I fell lower and lower.
