Even

To Isak, Even is the sun.

He's golden and bright, shining clearly and steadily and warming Isak's skin at the touch. He's the light that keeps Isak going, making him stronger and more hopeful for what is to come.

To Isak, Even is the wind.

He's the cooling breeze that keep's Isak grounded, reminding him that Even is there, always there. He has so much power in his touch, but is so gentle. He is the fresh air that calms Isak down, and no matter what happens, he knows he's safe.

To Isak, Even is the ground.

He's steady and solid, holding Isak in place and keeping him safe. Isak is calm when he's with him, because he knows how much Even loves him and how much he loves Even. Everything seems perfect when he's like this.

But to Isak, Even is also the cold.

He pulls and pulls Isak's warmth from his body, making him sit in agony in the frigid mess of his breath. He doesn't know what to do, he doesn't know what to say.

To Isak, Even is ice.

Even climbs into Isak's skin and freezes his body. Isak feels helpless with him, he feels like there's nothing he can do. He cant warm the icy water running through Even's veins. He can't thaw the frigid mass blocking his his brain.

To Isak, Even is the howling winds.

He's frantic and unpredictable, breaking things down and pulling Isak apart. He can't speak to Even because the winds are too loud in his head. Isak can't calm him down because he is too scattered.

But Even is also the sunset.

Every rough day, every persistent obstacle; they come to and end. Everything settles down eventually, giving Isak time to think and breathe.

And Even is the sunrise.

New days being new feelings and moods. Even's shredded mind will heal back up for a little bit, and sometimes it's enough to remind Isak that not all is hopeless.

To Isak, Even is everything.

Through the good and bad times, he's worth it. Even is the light and the dark of Isak's world, and though it may not be easy sometimes, he hangs on.
