Chapter 1 - A cold autumn day.

It was cold that morning. Autumn was finally hitting hard.

Only the day before had the weather been nice and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. That was more of an exaggeration to be honest. There had been clouds but white fluffy looking ones, the ones that would be alone and gently float along with the sun's rays.

But not today, the sky was covered in a dark cloud that threatened to rain down and the wind had started to blow as to throw a fit to say who's boss. I didn't mind weather like this but the cold did get to me easily.

I was so tempted to just go back to my bed and crawl into a ball, But I couldn't it was a first day of a new school and I couldn't miss it. I would be killed.

I take a single look back into the hallway of the new apartment, only days before me and my mum had moved into to, "I'll be home soon" I gently call, even though it was only me and my mum, I didn't want to wake her but I didn't want to leave without saying something like I had always done. I grabbed the door handle of the front door and shut it as quietly as I could.

Stepping into the outside world really hit hard, especially when a blast of wind hit against the tiny me. I was only 5'3 and I felt like I would easily be blown off my feet and thrown through the sky. I shivered from the cold wind that had just past and snuggled into my navy blue scarf that kept my neck warm, I had it wrapped around part of my face to try and keep my face warm also, it was working to.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out an Ipod, it was a very old make unlike what a lot of people had now aday such as Iphones. I just couldn't afford it, my family couldn't at all. I unravel the earphones that are wrapped around the small device and placed a bud in each ear and went to my favourite playlist and pressed play. The first song started to play, La La La by naughty boy, as it began to play I started on my journey to my new school, following along on a new life, hoping it would go far better than how life was treating me so far.

I sigh and look up at the sky as I walk, hot breath escaped as I looked up. My hands were shoved into my pockets as I walked. The dark clouds didn't look like they were going to go anytime soon.

'This is going to be a long first day' I thought to myself as I look back to what's in front of me 'A very long day' and it hadn't even started yet.

"Okay Mr.Taylor that seems to be everything."

I gave a nod. In front of me was a man who seemed to be in his early mid 20s, mousy brown hair which had been neatly groomed back. His eyes were upon me, they were a deep blue and they were hidden behind a pair of thin rimmed glasses. I could see the girls fangirling or gossiping about how cute he was, young teachers were kind of rare.

His clothes he was wearing, was brown tailored trousers, a white uniform shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a tie which was a dark navy blue with a pattern on it. The pattern was easy to see so from far away small blue blobs would fade into the navy blue of the tie, but up close you could see the blue blobs becoming more and more like a fish. Not just any fish. Dory from finding nemo.

He gave me a smile and stood up from his chair. We were in the front office going through last minute paperwork.

He put out his hand for me to take it, I looked at it for a moment and took it.

"Congrats on enrolling. I hope you enjoy your time here, everyone in your new class is really friendly so lets hope you can make some friends." He spoke "that does remind me, you already ha-"
