Mrs Eve laid on her bed looking at the time when suddenly Alex entered the room with a sad expression on her face "Mom, where's dad ? He's supposed to be back by now, right?"she said sitting next to her mother. Her mum looked at her and forced a smile on her face"Your dad will be home any minute from now just get ready for school dear" she said standing and walked to the door when Alex shouted " His not coming back, is he?". Mrs Eve turned to her daughter with tears in her eyes" I tried so much I did everything thinkable dear but he still left". Alex stood up and laughed"so you expect me to believe that shit, omg mum am not a child anymore what did you say to him?" Her mom looked at her daughter"believe what you want, to you am always the bad guy, right?" Mrs Eve said walking to the door she turned back to her daughter who was held her hand"To me your always going to be the bad guy mom, Tell me where my father is"Alex said, "Let go of me, Alex", "where is my dad?"
Mrs Eve frees her hand and walks away leaving Alex in the room.
After some minutes Alex leaves the room and heads to her friends house and spots her with a guy. Emily looks up and holds her hand smiling" Alex this is Ethan Ethan this is Alex"Emily said. I looked at him from head to toe he was really cute (like he got the whole six packs and biceps hunk thing going on).
"Nice to meet you" I finally said. I literally I didn't know what to say he was hot but I should focus on the situation at hand right.
"I should get going, meeting with some of my friends tonight"Ethan said and turned about to go but he looked back and said"It was nice meeting you Alex" and left.
"Is he cute or what?"
"Whatever" I said and sank into her couch. I looked around and spotted someone looking through the curtain and closed it immediately he knew I saw him.
"Who was that?"
"Probably Ethan checking me out, bet in a week we'll be dating in no time".
"Am in the middle of a crisis I don't have time for this"I said looking really angry
"Sorry am all ears, spill"
"Never mind, I need to face this head on" I said and got up.
"When that doesn't work I'll be waiting here ever so ready to listen" she said and smiled.
"Okay" I said and headed to the door but turned back come on I had to tease her a little.
"You know he was checking me out right, let's get this clear not you but me, okay"
"Seriously, well I called dibs"
"No you didn't"
"Yes I did"
"No you did not"
"Well am saying it now..,..."
"Dibs"I said and then did a cute face and headed out.
"Fuck you"
"I know you don't mean it"I screamed
"I know that's why we're still friends!!, that bad bitch"she said and closed the door.
And indeed it was once upon a time Alex was a loner with no friends but then Emily showed up and they immediately connected even though Emily was extremely hot and Alex was somehow (in her subconscious) extremely not. They became friends and were inseparable till date.
