beneath the dark clouds

THE BUS

The birds are humming from a distance and the sun gladly came in through my window. I hurried from my bed and started preparing for work. Everything was all settled and a smile gleamed on my face. I walked down the sidewalk to wait for the bus heading downtown thinking that's it's gonna be another busy day. When suddenly a thick cloud rushed its foamy shape blocking the sun above me and it got dark. The bus just arrived and I hopped in. I took a seat at the back and noticed how cheerful the weather was at the other side of the town. The bus made an another stop and passengers came in and walked right through, one by one they took a seat. others just stood stiffly. It got crowded that I could barely breathe. I glanced over to the man next to me and wonder why we were not making any stops anymore. I couldn't even remember seeing those places outside my ride and so I yelled at the bus driver "Sir, where are we?" I asked anxiously, " Why aren't we at the town, yet? I'm gonna be late for work!!" I indignantly shouted. Then, the man sitting next to me patted me on the shoulder. I looked at him and began trembling on my feet "No," he said. "We are just on time." looking me straight in my eyes while my jaws were still dropped open. He was all covered with blood and worms were dropping off his eye socket. I roam my head around and saw everyone else staring at me with decays and rot occupied the entire bus. I screamed as hard as I could but no voice came out.
