Jericho

"Ooooo baby, that feels so good." My girlfriend model/actress, Brandy Moore, hummed in my ear as I stroked her to a climax.

Brandy had just flown in from the movie that she was shooting in Toronto starring alongside Michael B. Jordan and Chris Evans. It was some action blockbuster that was supposed to be coming out that next summer. She had spent the entire last month in Toronto preparing for the role and had been working eighteen hour days since leaving barely any time for us. She had gotten a short break over the weekend and decided to come surprise me. I had been in the studio working on the music for my new album, when my assistant, Courtney Bassett, told me that Brandy was at my Brooklyn condo.

"Damn, you really did miss me." Brandy said half-giggling, half-moaning.

I was trying to give her my best pipe partly because I did miss her but I also wanted to make sure that I sent her back to Toronto completely satisfied. I cared about Brandy a lot, I liked what we had, but in no way did I think it was love. I was still taking my time to figure that out. As a rapper, I had women all over the world at my disposal, but I never fed into that lifestyle, because I saw way too many careers ruined over messing with wrong woman.

"Turn over, " I told her. Once she did, I stroked deeper and slower inside of her.

Brandy couldn't speak at the moment because I had taken her to a climax that had her speaking in tongues and her eyes rolling in the back of her head. I had lost count of what number orgasm that was for her, but after this one, I noticed her already falling into a deep sleep. I kissed her on the forehead and pulled out of her. After I flushed the condom in the bathroom, I threw on some shorts and walked down the stairs of my townhome-style condo. I felt like smoking a blunt but I knew Brandy didn't like it when I smoked so I was going to do it downstairs by the window.

While walking down the steps, I immediately saw my assistant Courtney sitting at my dining room table on her iPad engrossed in reading something while spooning ice cream in her mouth. I looked to the left where my kitchen was when my foot hit the final wooden step and noticed on the microwave that it was after one in the morning.

"Yo, what you still doing here?" I asked Courtney but she was so obsessed with whatever she was reading that she didn't even answer or acknowledge me. "Courtney." I said firmly nearing the table.

"My bad, J." She said shifting in her seat to sit more erect. "I didn't hear you. Do you need me to do something?"

I pointed at the clock. "Naw, I don't need nothin. I told you to take yo ass home a long time ago." I had an extra room that Courtney often stayed in when she worked late, but she had told me that she was going out with her boyfriend when I gave her the night off.

"I didn't realize it was that late. I was waiting on Eric to call me when I got an alert that my favorite writer updated her book." She shrugged. "I guess I lost track of time."

"Where's the accountant?" I asked her skeptically. I knew full well that this nigga was cheating on her, not because I caught him or heard anything, but because he was always on that, I gotta work late shit.

"He had to work late," she said with disappointment written all over her face. "He called me an hour ago to tell me that he had to go out for drinks with his boss."

"You know you can do so much better than him right?" I told her pointedly.

"Don't start." She warned. I couldn't hate, she always stood up for her man no matter what. I just didn't want to see someone as sweet as her get hurt.

Courtney was a brown-skinned cutie in a bookworm kind of way. She was always professional around me, which is what I needed in my assistant. Nothing ever went down between us and ever would.

"And who updated a book? Why are you reading a book that isn't done?" I asked with confusion standing over her to look down at her tablet. I saw pictures of me on her screen. "What the fuck?" I asked picking it up. I began to read some of the words on the screen. I was completely confused as to what exactly she was reading.

"Calm down." Courtney began to laugh light-heartedly. "This writer named Yara writes really good and she wrote this bomb fanfic about you?"

"What the hell is a fanfic?"

"I'm not gonna get too deep, but super fans like to go on this and other sites to write stories using their favorite people, tv shows, movies, stuff like that." She explained. "There are a whole lot of them about you on this site I'm on called WriteNow, but hers is by far the best."

"What is it about?" I asked finding myself curious to know more about this fanfic stuff and why my name was all up in it.

"It's like an updated version of Love and Basketball but with a twist. Whoever Yara is, she can write her butt off and needs to be published already."

I began to read from the chapter she was on and found myself entertained by what I read. "What's it called?"

"Jericho's Heart." She said grinning as if she knew something that I didn't. "If anything, you should read it for the comments alone." She clicked on a paragraph and another screen popped up with various readers leaving a trail of comments. Some of the things they were saying caused me to laugh out loud.

"Yo, this shit is wild." I said rubbing my beard.

"Mhm. I told you."

"And what you reading fantasies about me for?" I asked with raised brows.

"Believe me, it's all for the laughs. I know the real you and I know that you wouldn't even do or say half of that stuff." She said crossing her arms. "And trust, nobody over here is checking for you like that."

"Lemme hold this." I said already walking off with her tablet towards the kitchen.

"That's cool, I can pull it up on my phone anyways." She said also getting up. "I'm gonna crash in the room." She told me as an afterthought. I figured she got tired of waiting on her corporate boyfriend.

"Yea...aite." I said my eyes caught up in the story I was reading. I scrolled through the screens until I reached the first chapter. I grabbed a bottle of Gatorade from my refrigerator and walked back upstairs while reading @YaraTheWriter's story.
