Phil was gay.
Phil knew that he was gay.
Phil liked being gay.
He just wished that the other people he cared about liked him being gay too.

Phil had come out at the age of 14, yes he was young, but he knew he was certain about how he felt. Telling his parents, he thought would be a great idea. They would accept him and they would all be a big happy family. But it didn't quite go to plan.

Phil's parents weren't too impressed, and everything went completely wrong. His brother would barely talk to him and he couldn't bear discussing anything serious with his parents. Term times were okay, he had an excuse to stay away from his family. But the breaks were pure hell. He had put up with the tiring summer break twice since he had come out, but he needed a change.

So that was why he had found himself up at 12:49 on a Wednesday night, using his mums debit card to sign himself into an LGBT camp.
