GREYSON's POV

My eyes open when my alarm clock rings as if the whole world needs to listen it. I shut it off and go back to sleep. I am a sleep loving person which means I am not a morning person too. I don't know when I dozed off. It seemed ages until I am disturbed with somebody knocking on the door. I close my ears with my pillow but the knocks started to get louder. Cursing the person outside I rush down the stairs. I open the door and shout, "What the hell do you want?"

I am hit and I realize she slapped me and speaks,"That's not how you talk to your mother in her birthday."

"Oh shit!", I exclaim. How can I forget. It's my mom's birthday. I immediately wrap her in my arms and wish,"Happy Birthday." Then I made an excuse," I was going to come home this afternoon to wish you." She giggles like a child as she says,"It's 12:30 already and if you let me in you can explain why are you not returning my calls then I will invite you tonight for the party." I move sideways and she enters.

She has never been here before. It has been a week since I shifted home. Not that I don't want to live with my family but my father insisted I should start being independent. Just so you know my dad is the CEO of The Lifeline Pvt. Ltd, one of the top company in California to manifacture medicines and hospital essentials. However, my mom is an artist and owns an art gallery. So, my dad thinks I am spoiling with all his money and sort of kicked me out.

"Nice house" she says walking towards kitchen. "Thanks"
"Want some coffee?"she says looking to me. "Yeah sure"

"So what do you want for your birthday?"I ask her. " Why don't you bring some girl tonight?" she changes the topic. I hate to talk about this to her but she keeps on bringing this topic. "You know I would never do that" I reply.

She hands me the coffee mug and sits opposite to me. She touches my free hand and says,"Everyone knows you are a player. Vincent said you have stopped seeing girls for about a year. I am not sad I am happy that thinking you might have found your real love. And I want to meet the girl who changed my son." The mention of Vincent makes me grin. He is my best friend. How can he talk all this to my mom.

"I have changed and that doesn't mean it's because of a girl" I claim.

She stands and moves to the front door,"Well I better get going and I hope the girl meets you soon." With that she leaves. I love my mom because of all this. She has been just like a friend
She talks about love, girls, sex, boy problems, and almost anything like a friend. She is cool and I like her that way.

As for the girl I am not bringing anyone in my life not until this year cause it's the final year of my high school. Maybe not in Uni too.
