Chapter 1

*Ring*Ring*Ring* I threw my alarm clock to the floor as it went off, the piece of nothing really didn't ever work. It was already 7:00, god I was going to be late. I threw on some old worn out jeans and my favorite ' BVB ' shirt. I brushed out my hair and let it go flat and straight. I grabbed my bag and pulled on some old converse. I was waking down the stairs, when I heard the bus outside. I ran out and jumped into the bus saying, "Hello Mrs.Parks."

"Hello Silk" she said smiling. I returned the smile and hurried to the back seat of the bus, where I always sat. I ignored the comments as I made my way there.

"She's such a reject..." whispered some girl, the other nodding in agreement.

"Loner!" yelled Zack, my living hell, maybe someday he'll rot in hell I hope so, maybe then will he- I was snapped out of my thoughts when I face-planted. Stupid Shyan had tripped me, I hissed lightly and got to my seat, as the whole bus burst out laughing. That is of course not my best friend, Liz. She shot me a sympathetic look, but I just shrugged. There was an awkward silence for a moment till she broke it.

"Hey Silk, sorry about those idiots..." I cut her off, "Hey its okay, its not like its your fault" I forced a smile.

When I got to school, Liz and I said our goodbyes, when we parted. I got to my first class, Social Studies. I rolled my eyes as I entered the room. I wasn't exactly bad at Social Studies, but that didn't mean I liked it either, it was a bore. I took my usual seat and zoned out thinking of how rude people are to me, when I have been nothing but kind to them! I thought to myself until I was pulled out of my thoughts by a scratchy, yet annoying voice.

"Ms. Kade, is there anything I have just interupted, seeing how you have paid no attention to class what so ever!" she glared at me, stupid Ms. Huchson.

"No Ms.Huchson, sorry I've just been having quite a bit of a headache. It won't happen again.." I shrugged.

"Very well Silk, now class, GET BACK TO WORK!" I heard groans from some of the other students as I began to do my work. Before I knew it class was over and the rest of my teachers were pretty easy-going. After what seemed as a century later I finally got to my last class, physical education. I groaned, its the worst thing in the world, I mean, whats the point! What sport were we playing today you ask, just my favorite sport, doge ball! Note the sarcasm...

"Oww!" I groaned as the ball hit my thigh leaving a big red blot, the others laughed. I made my way out, but lucky me, right? As I was walking, a ball plunged to my head, leaving me flat on the floor shocked. I felt a thumping in my head. The teacher hurried to my side, giving me a note for the nurse. I paced to the locker rooms, changed, fixed my hair a bit, and grabbed my stuff before walking over to Mr.Andrew's office, our nurse. Yea, I know not most nurses aren't guys, but you know, who cares? I walked into to find him looking over paperwork.

"Ohh, Silk, what seems to be the problem?" he asked once he noticed I had walked in.

"Dogeball" I muttered, he chuckled.

"Oh yes, 'dogeball.' So, what happened?" I explained to him what had happened, he gave me an ice pack, right before the bell rang.

"Thank you Mr.Andrews!" I yelled walking out of the room.

"No problem Silk!" he responded.

I got out the school and waited at the steps for Liz. She came out and we decided to walk, not the bus.

"So, next month on spring break, I'm uhh, GOING TO ITALY!" I smiled at her comment.

"Oh, awesome..." I replied, now what was I suppose to do be bored!

"Yeah, oh look were at your house already!" she said pointing to my house.

"Bye Liz, see you tomorrow!"

"Bye Silky!" I ran into my house and plopped onto my bed. And this day turned out to be just like the rest of this month, nothing special or new, just my plain, old life.
