This Again is the Last of Me

Chapter 1: The Beginning

    I walk in the living room to my apartment, trying to comprehend what I just heard. My father just died. This means that I am left alone to rule the Downworld. And by that I mean I will be a full powered witch by morning because the powers come from your parents after they have ciest to exist.

Why did I have to be Alec Lightwood and Magnus Bane's daughter. Aunt Clarissa came into the room. I ran to her and hugged her. 

"Where's poppa?" I asked whipping away my tears. 

"Alec is in his room." She says and I walk to poppa's room. I see him on Dad's side and run to him crying. He hold me in his shaking arms. 

"It's okay Lieah." 

"No it's not! Dad was supposed to teach me how to control it! You know I have problems.... I can't do it without him."

     I cry more. "Yes you can! We both believe in you..." He says, he just doesn't understand... I run out of the room and to Cyrus' house.

 I pound on the door. When he comes to it and opens it, I run into his arms. "Don't leave me Cy... Dad did, and Poppa, he just doesn't understand..."

Cy's Pov

     I can't leave her. She is my best friend and only love. "Shhh, I won't. It'll be okay. Do you wanna spend the night?"I ask trying to calm her. 

"O-okay. Thank you Cy."

     When she cry's, I want to dig a hole and crawl in it and die. I can't stand to see her like this.

"Why did it have to be me?" She asks taking a shaky breath.

"Don't forget, Simon and HER are my parents. Mom ran away after I was born. I never had a real family." I say walking her to the couch. "Does this problem need some freez?" I ask her.

"Please!" She says, swiping her hair out of her face. I go to the freezer and get ice-cream, putting it in a bowl.

"Just what the doctor ordered." I say laughing, getting her to giggle.
