Auston Matthews & Mitch Marner

part 1

The Leafs were currently at the ACC playing the Capitals, it was a very important game for them because they needed this big win to help them keep a spot in the playoffs which was the ultimate goal for them this year.

The game was being played at a really fast and rough pace, the Leafs would get a scoring chance and then the Capitals would take the puck down into their end having a scoring chance so overall it had been a pretty even game so far for both teams

Auston had been hit a few times so far but at a strong 6'3 and 216pds it didn't really affect him as much as it would Mitch for example who was 6'0 and a small 170pds. Auston though he looked so small on the ice compared to all the other players but he knew his boyfriend was so much more skilled and agile and that's what made him more of a target for the Capitals, they would all go after him cause they knew that they could hit him off the puck and that made him furious.

Mitch was on the ice at the moment, he was starting to skate around the circle in their end picking up speed getting ready to recieve a breakout pass up the boards from defenseman Connor Carrick who was behind the net when one of the Capitals players skated right into him hitting right in the chest and face, Mitch hadn't seen the Capitals player coming towards him

Once the Capitals player hit Mitch his small body jolted backwards a few feet before his back and neck made hard contact with the ice. The crowd roared screaming profanities at the ref hoping a penatly would be called while Matt Martin came and pushed the Capitals player away from Mitch who was now laying on the ice

He attempted to sit up but he suddenly felt really dizzy and too weak so he laid back down waiting for the trainor to reach him. His lungs felt like they were collapsing in his chest, and he couldnt take a breath without causing a tremendous amount of pain to his ribs so knew something was wrong. He felt a stabbing pain shoot through his neck and down into his shoulder, and he let out a cry of agony, starting to feel some tears forming in his eyes he wished Auston was here with him holding him in his strong arms to help ease the pain

When the trainor finally reached Mitch he started asking him questions like where was he hurting and how bad the pain was. Mitch told him that his chest, neck and ribs hurt ALOT that he was in a lot of pain, aswell as his shoulder which he could barely move at all

The trainor decided it would be best to try and get Mitch off the ice into the locker room where medics could get a better look at his injuries. The trainor signaled towards the bench to tell them to send two players to help get mitch off the ice where medics were waiting for him.

Austons POV:

I felt my heart sink as I saw Mitch fall to the ice. I wanted to jump over the boards but Coach Babcock prevented me from doing so, he hated this his boyfriend was on the ice motionless and he couldnt do anything to help that's what hurt him the most.

The trainor had gone onto the ice to check Mitch after 5 or so minutes he signaled towards the bench needing two people to come help Mitch get off the ice.

I watched as Matt Martin and Jake Gardiner helped Mitch, I could see his precious face wince in pain as they helped him up off the ice. My heart ached, I wanted to be there helping MY boyfriend instead of Jake or Matt, he was my boyfriend after all I should be the one helping him

3d POV:

Auston watched as Mitch reached the boards getting off the ice and lead towards their locker room.

"I want Auston, please let him come with him"

"WHERE IS AUSTON I WANT HIM NOW"

Mitch screamed for his boyfriend, Auston started moving over towards the end of the bench hearing Mitch call for him, pain clear in his voice. He almost made it but before he could get to the tunnel Babcock yelled at him to get his ass onto the ice cause they had a power play, Auston was gonna protest telling him he needed to follow Mitch but Babcock didn't see to care about anything other than the game at the moment, so he listened and went onto the ice for their power play
