"What is it worth?" he asked. "All the pain, all the hurt, the tears. The dark days and even darker nights. The loneliness. What is it for?" I was silent. The rain mixed with the tears on my checks. I took a shaky breath.
"I never thought I deserved it, any of it. The love and care you showed me. The way you made me feel." I paused and took a few slow breaths. He knelled down in front of me, waiting, silently urging me to continue. "Honestly I thought it was a freak accident, you falling for me. I thought you were crazy to stay all these years. At some points i thought i was dreaming, when everything was perfect." A flash of lightning lit the sky for a second of illumination. I looked into your eyes and a million memories hit me.
