Scott and Joe walked into the inner cage. Joe looked up to an ominous beeping and a blinking red L. E. D. light.
"GET DOWN!" He yelled as he somehow tackled Scott to the ground, expecting an explosion, yet, the anticipated explosion does not occur.
"Why are your eyes closed?" Scott asked with Joe on top of him.
"...I thought we were going to get blown up." He shrugged back.
"Its just a transmitter."
"Well, now who ever owns this place knows we're here." Joe said as he got up.
Scott stood and dusted himself off. "Im curious, how does closing your eyes in an explosion help?"
Joe rolled his eyes. "It just does, okay, Bones? Now be careful, we don't know what else is in here."
Scott looked up."Theres a phrase in ancient Greek on the vault door."
Joe came over. "Well whats it say?"
"I- I don't know, Joe, its in ancient Greek."
Joe groaned. "So you know alllll these languages, but NOT ancient Greek?!"
"Well its useless."
Joe face palmed. "Right."
Scott continued to walk, noticing items around the vault. "Dead languages. Egyptian art. Pythagorean mathematics. Hebrew Scriptures. Gnosticism. Kabala. Alchemy. Druidism. Astrology. Angela can tell us for sure, but I think these artifacts are museum quality... Whoa... Baby bingo! Found Gavin Nichols' violin!" he called out happily.
Joe was in a different part of the vault, frozen. "Uhh... B-Bones?"
Scott found him and his mouth dropped. "Oh..."
There is a strange skeleton posed in an arc with arms reaching above in front of a decorative shield as large as the vault door.
"What is that... Silver?" Joe asked.
Scott approached it. "Not all these bones are silver. It's possible we just found more of Sean Collins."
After an hour, the whole crew was there. The vault was better lit, and Dobium is questioning Max, Mitch and Kevin who are making an on-site observation with Scott and Joe.
"...And that is Sean Collins' violin." Dobium finally said. "What else ya got?"
"Well, thith altar is made of the same pink syenite we found embedded in Sean Colins' thkull." Max pointed out.
"Well where's the rest of him?" Dobium crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.
Joe snorted. "Probably tossed it into dump trucks from overpasses."
Scott was busy examining the skeleton. "All of the bones found here show teeth marks."
Dob sighed in exasperation. "Somebody kidnapped a fiddler and served him for dinner in an old bank vault stuffed with museum pieces. Wonderful."
Mitch was looking around at all the art. This was his forte. He was especially interested with the shield the skeleton was posed. "I think this is high medieval. Spanish. Possibly Calabrian in origin..."
