My heart aching. I quickly moved across the edge of the building. Every step I took I knew they were coming closer. I was going to die without telling my mom that I loved her. The only emotion I showed was hate. I hated her for leaving my dad, hated her for taking me away from him. But the reasons to me were clear now. He didn't love me, he in fact hated me. He was going to kill me. The memories rushed through my head. The names he called me. The nights he came home drunk. His breath hot when he screamed at me. But I can't turn back, my mom thinks I'm dead. I am useless to anyone except for the people who are hunting me, the people who want me. The shadows. The screams. The pain. Them. It was all because of them. The thoughts made me move faster. Faster than usual. That's when I noticed I was falling. Bricks crumbled to dust and went into my lungs. I couldn't breathe. The people of the shadows came closer, they weren't falling. The shadows grabbed me, with their cool marble-like skin. I noticed the man holding me wasn't scary, or harmful. He gave me a sideways smile and handed me off to someone else. That's when I was placed in the trunk of an old rickety car. Dreams flowed through my head, the man, his beauty. He was coming closer to me, his almost pure black hair and Crystal blue eyes. I shook off the dream and awoke in a room, it was small and dark. I noticed I was sitting in a chair with my hand wrapped neatly with a rope.
