"Good morning!" I said as I sipped my chocolate and caramel latte.

"Good morning, Aszia," Shawn waved, "Happy Friday!"

"Yeah, I do not know what I would do if it wasn't Friday," I slumped in a recliner in the break room.

  "Long week?" Shawn asked.

"Tell me about it," I took another sip of my latte.

"Well I can't tell you about if  my name isn't Aszia Cullen," He walked towards me and sat down in the recliner across from me.

"Ha ha, very funny. Well if you want to know, I have exams coming up for the end of the year and don't think I am going to pass," I crossed my legs and took another drink of my latte.

"Oh come on," Shawn said,"You graduated college at sixteen and now you have the lucky opportunity of working for me at the Happy Ice Cream Cone."

"Yeah, what a lucky opportunity," I said as I stood up. I walked over and grabbed my apron. "I guess I should go open up."

"I guess you should," Shawn waved.

I walked into the dark store and grabbed the keys from under the counter. They jingled in my hand as I made my way to the door. On my way, I took the chairs off the table and put them around the tables. I put the key into the key hole and opened the door. As I walked back I tripped on a chair.

"Ouch!" I yelled. Shawn came running in. "I'm fine. I swear these chairs hate me!"
I got up and brushed my knees off. Shawn giggled.

  "You okay?" He asked.

"Did you not just hear me? I said I was fine!" I yelled at him.

"Geez! What has gotten into you?" He said.

"Whenever I say something you don't hear the most important part! Like I am fine!" I yelled and shoved the chair that I tripped over to the side.

"Okay sorry. Just settle down," He grabbed the chair and pushed it under the table gently.

"Settle down? Settle down! You want me to settle down? That's like me telling you to close up this parlor for no reason!" I yelled.

"Seriously? You trip over one chair and you so mad at everything!" He yelled and through his arms out.

Tears began to run down my face. I untied my apron and through it on the ground. Making my heels click as loud as they can, I headed for the door. A smooth hand touched my arm and I felt something come close to my ear.

"Your fired." Shawn whispered. I turned my head towards his ear.

"Good," I stomped on his foot and strutted out. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone. I opened it and called Amber, my best friend. She immediately picked up the phone.

  "Hello?" She said.

"H-ey," My voice cracked as I started to cry.

"Oh boy. Need ice cream?" She asked.

"Chocolate?" I asked as I reached my car and opened the door.

  "Of course," She said.

I hung up and drove away from the evil ice cream parlor. Once I reached my house, I noticed something stuck to my door.
