Dear inmate,
Whether you were moved here or are new to my prison, you're now in semi isolation. As you have probably noticed, there isn't much company here, or anything to do. We have provided notebooks for self entertainment purposes.

The accused was barely old enough to go on trial. If it had happened two months earlier, he would have been sent to juvenile court. Quinn was being tried for kissing another man. Being a homosexual wasn't against the law, but it may as well have been. It was illegal for anyone to have intimate relationships or commit any intimate acts with someone of the same gender. Quinn had loved the man, that's why he kissed him, but the man betrayed him, turning him in for committing an intimate act with him. The man claimed the boy had forced the kiss onto him. As soon as the trial began, it became apparent that Quinn wasn't going to come out of this well.
"I've seen all the evidence I need to," the judge said, "It's clear that you kissed another man." Quinn shook in fear.
"I pronounce you guilty. Three years in prison is your sentence. Case dismissed."
The guard he was assigned drove him to the prison. When they arrived at the prison, the guard first gave the boy a uniform to change into. He then took Quinn to meet his new prison mates.
Thoughts were rushing through Quinn's head. What would happen to him here? Would he change? The boy followed the guard. The guard stopped in front of a door and unlocked it.
"Your new home awaits," the guard said. As Quinn walked through the door, he heard the lock click behind him. The boy froze. All the men in the room were twice his size. One of the biggest men walked over.
"Hey kid, what're ya in for," the man said. The boy remained frozen in fear.
"I bet he's a homo," one of the men shouted. The boy's eyes widened even more.
"So ya are a homo," the mad said, "We don't like homos." The man walked over to Quinn, forcing him into the wall. The man grabbed Quinn's shirt with one hand and punched the boy in the face. Fear was rampant throughout Quinn's mind, as well as pain. The man let go of the shirt and the boy fell to the ground. The men kicked Quinn, one of whom kicked his hand, which caused his wrist to bend backwards. Quinn screamed like a kettle and withered on the floor. Someone jabbed him in the abdomen, resulting in coughed up blood. The guard that brought the boy to the room walked in, parting the sea of villains as if he were Moses. He walked over to Quinn and scooped him up.
Quinn began to like the guard. After all, he had taken him away from the mean men. Although the boy wished the guard had come sooner, he was still grateful. Quinn felt weak. His head lolled to the side. His eyes remained open even though he had lost consciousness.
As the guard arrived at the medical wing of the prison, the boy started to stir. Quinn opened his eyes and felt the warmth of the arms holding him. He began to tremble, as he was able to feel the pain again. The guard looked at the small boy he was holding with concern. The guard had worked at the prison for about 3 years now and had never seen a boy this small and weak at the prison. A nurse walked over to the guard.
"Who is this young man?" the nurse asked the guard.
"This is Quinn Chambers. He was admitted to the prison today,"
"Follow me," the nurse said. The three of them wound up in a room with a twin bed and cabinets on the wall.
"Just lay him here." The guard put the boy on the bed and left the medical ward.
The nurse glanced at the boy before leaving the room. Quinn lifted his hand up to feel his face. He was surprised when he felt tears. He hadn't known he was crying and was a bit surprised. Quinn could barely see out of his left eye, for it had swelled up. A different nurse walked into the room. She seemed older, and smelled nice, like cookies.
"Hi honey. What's your name?" she said in a sweet tone.
"Quinn Chambers," the boy said quietly.
"I'm Nurse Patty," she said "I'll be helping you today." She walked over to Quinn and looked at him.
"You seem to have a lot of injuries Quinn. Why don't you tell me what hurts the most?"
"My left wrist. I think it's swollen," Quinn said. The nurse looked at his wrist and clicked her tongue.
"Your wrist might be broken. I should have it x-rayed but just hold on for a second," she said. Nurse Patty left the room and came back with an ice pack. "Hold this to your eye. Follow me." Quinn got up off the bed and followed Nurse Patty to the x-ray room.
After another medical person took the x-rays, Nurse Patty told Quinn that there was no break which meant it was most likely sprained. She took him back to the room with the bed and wrapped his wrist.
"Try not to use your wrist or hand. Okay honey?" she said. The boy nodded.
"I can't do anything for the bruises that will form. You can rest here until someone comes to get you," she said. Then she left the room. Quinn laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling, waiting for someone to take him away from this room.
