Waking up on a snowy night
I wake up to a familiar sight
The sight of my room with a little light
Reminded me of the loneliness
of this young man's blight
All alone at a mountain top
The only thing that I live by
Is by chopping wood for a living and life
All alone without anyone
So far away the village is
Traversing the mountain all the while
Yet everytime I come to visit
Everyone greets me with a happy smile
All alone I live by myself
Parents killed by wolves one night
So young I was when I was left alone
A mere child I was, now just a juvenile
With no brothers nor sisters
All alone is what I really am
Looking at the children happily playing
Brings tears and pain to my aching heart
When I wake up
It's always the same
The same view I left
The same view I return to
All I need
Is a little love
To tear me away
From the sadness I feel
One snowy night
I go out to work
With heavy clothes to cover my back
And an axe to chop the wood asunder
A blizzard came to terrorize
My vision is blurred, all nothing but white
But in the distance I hear a cry
A woman's voice was all I ascertain
Struggling to find
The source of the cry
I came across
A pack of wolves; ready to bite
