Sometimes I wonder, "What if I told a certain person what I truly felt about them?"
Six years after meeting them I had finally come out with my true feelings for them, and... Well, in all honesty, it just seems a little late.
Due to the stress as we began to grow older, and the bullying, and me being scared to come out as LGBT+ to anyone, let alone my family, we didn't exactly have the best of friendship.
Which to me, was horrible. I cared for this person. Really cared for them.
And if I could have just told them sooner, I think that I would be able to do the things with them, and for them, that we never got to do, or may never get to do.
Just little things like hanging out, catching up with each other's lives, me giving them small things like a bracelet or a flower once a week, just little romantic items.
And sometimes I just hate myself for not coming out with it sooner.
During our fights, I used to block them on Facebook, telling them that I didn't want to be friends anymore.
But then my true feelings will come back, and we'd start to talk again.
That person waited for me. No matter what I said.
And it just breaks my heart. This person that I fell in love with six years ago. The same person that I'm in love with now, is just great. They're cute, funny, nice... And it just breaks my heart that I couldn't be there for them on their down days.
I highly doubt anything more we will become anything more than friends. I mean, we both got our hearts broken in different ways, and even though I don't see myself doing something like it, I'm honestly afraid that I'll somehow break their heart.
But time will tell, I guess. And as much as I hate waiting for the answer to my questions, to just sit here and see if anything more will come for us, I just have to wait until the time comes.
