My name is Luna Marie Lalone, today is December 11th, my 16th birthday, the day where I'm supposed to have a big party, and invite all my friends, my family, maybe even the neighbors. But I'm in the bathroom, pills in my hand, tears down my face, and a glass of water on the counter.

Today I'm giving up, on all of my efforts. For 16 years I've tried to make friends with the kids at school, I've tried to get my mom and dad to love me, I've tried to be happy. But for 16 years I've been failing. So now I'm done, and I'm saying goodbye, to whom, I'm not sure. There's nobody within my reach to grasp on to, to plead for help, to plead for happiness. So really I'm just saying goodbye to myself.

I look at the girl in the mirror, she's thin, and pale, her gray eyes stare lifelessly back into mine. I brush my platinum bangs out of my face as to see my eyes better, the girl in the mirror does the same. I clear my throat and lean closer to the girl so she surely can hear me.

"Goodbye, Luna." I whisper. I brings my hand to my mouth and drop the pills into my throat, I take the glass of water and swallow the water to force the pills down.

I look back into the mirror, the girl's eyes tear up and her eyebrows knit together in a sorrow expression.

"Don't cry, you'll be okay. I promise." I say, trying to comfort the girl. A single tear falls down onto her cheeks, and trails down onto her chin.

The girl looks into my eyes, "I'm sorry." she says. And then she's gone, I find myself staring at the ceiling, and confusion washes over me, after a minute, I make the conclusion that I have fallen. My breathing becomes shallow, and there's discomfort in my abdomen.

I turn my head to the side, I can see into the living room window, where the sky glows white, and snow falls silently. And then I couldn't see. Darkness. That was anything and everything, the feeling of bliss washes over me, and sleeping sounds appealing.

So I slept.
