"You can't live together anymore."
One sentence could really break your heart. And hurt you more than you think it would and that's what Harry Styles felt. He couldn't believe they were forcing them apart. He didn't want that and he never would, he can't even go a second without thinking of his best mate. How his ocean blue eyes would reflect in the light. Or how the crinkles by his eyes would form when he laughed. Or how he'd always run his fingers through his hair whenever he felt nervous or anxious. Or how angelic his voice was. He was truly something out of this world. He was perfect to Harry.
"What do you mean we can't live together anymore? This isn't your choice to make!" Harry exclaimed, sitting up in his chair but not before glancing at Louis who was frozen in place. He looked at the monsters before him. He truly hated them with a passion. They literally controlled his life just because he signed a stupid contract. He sometimes misses his old life. His old peaceful life where everything was okay. This doesn't mean he regrets ever auditioning for the X-factor because he doesn't. It was the best idea he had ever thought of and being put in the band was the best thing to ever happen to him.
"I think we can do whatever we want. We still have the contract with your signature Mr. Styles." The head of management says with an edge to his tone. He looked at Harry with nothing but evilness in his eyes.
"Please, you can't do this. Louis.." Harry desperately turns to look at Louis, waiting for him to back him up but got frustrated when Louis didn't say anything. He stared back at Harry blankly and never even blinked. Harry shook his head in disbelief and looked down at his lap.
"That's what I thought. Louis, you can pack your stuff when you get back and you'll be moving out by tomorrow. We'll make sure it goes viral by then." With that being said, Harry stood up and stormed out of the office before he could break down. He was not only being forced away from him in public but in their personal lives as well and it made Harry go crazy. He wanted nothing more than to be with Louis but we don't always get what we want now do we? He didn't realize he was running until his feet hurt and he slowed down.
He walked along the pavement with his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets, looking down as he did. He kicked around a few pebbles as his head continued running with thoughts, something he always did. Overthink. Louis and him were slowly drifting away and Harry couldn't do anything about it. What hurt him even more was the fact that Louis was okay with it. He didn't even bother standing up for himself. For them. Maybe he just didn't like Harry that much anymore.
Harry found himself at their flat after a couple minutes and entered with a soft sigh. He looked around to see Louis' stuff scattered all around the living room. He was definitely going to miss this. He walked to the kitchen and grabbed himself a bottle of water. He stood there for what seemed like hours, sipping on his drink and staring at the wall in front of him in silence. He then heard the front door open and close and he knew Louis was home by the sound of his footsteps. He never lifted his gaze to meet his when Louis entered the kitchen.
Harry knew that Louis was looking at him. He saw him by the corners of his eyes but he refused to look at him or even acknowledge his presence. He was mad. Pissed even. And it was beyond him how Louis was okay with everything. He heard him clearing his throat, trying to grab Harry's attention but clearly failed miserably as Harry's gaze was still fixed on the wall. He could feel him walk closer to him and Harry inhaled a deep breath to calm himself down. Louis made Harry so nervous even when he wasn't doing anything.
"I'm sorry Harry. But you know I can't do anything." Louis mumbled softly as he stood in front of Harry to make him look into his eyes. He almost won but Harry quickly looked down at the floor. He knew that if he looked into Louis' eyes, he would forgive him way too quickly and make him believe it was okay when it wasn't. He knew Louis was right and there was nothing in his hands but he still wanted him to fight for them. He doesn't care if he was being dramatic, he was hurt. And by the only guy that has control over his heart.
"You should go pack." Harry says softly before backing away from him and walking out of the kitchen. He could hear Louis curse quietly in the kitchen but in that moment, he couldn't careless. He was losing him second by second and he couldn't stop it. He walked upstairs to their bedroom and it was then when he broke down. The tears cascaded down his face as he held onto the doorframe to steady himself. He stumbled inside the room and plopped down on his bed. He grabbed the nearest pillow and buried his face inside to muffle his sobs so Louis wouldn't hear him. He got out what he had kept bottled up inside of him for so long. He couldn't hold them in any longer.
He had calmed down at last but kept laying down. He wrapped his arms around himself seeking his own comfort. He kept crying until there were no tears left to cry. He had tear stained cheeks as he laid there, motionless. He heard Louis walking around the house, picking his stuff up and packing everything up. Harry still couldn't wrap his head around the fact that he was leaving. He really couldn't imagine living without them seeing each other everyday.
