     Anne looked around the room she was trapped in. “I have to find a way out of here without them noticing” she thought to herself. She gets up and hides in the shadows. Anne could hear the sound of her own heartbeat as she slipped into the hallway.

    She saw a dark figure coming her way so she dashed into the nearest room. Anne panted as she thought and listened at the door. Once she knew the coast was clear, she darted back out into the hallway, ready for the challenge ahead of her.

     She looked around to make sure the coast was clear, then she ran as fast as she could and tripped. Her head hit the hard concrete and knocked her out. Anne woke up back in the same room but this time she was tied up and her lip was bleeding. “Are you kidding me?!” she said quietly. She thought for a while then noticed that there was a knife in the other corner of the room. “Ok I just need to scoot over there and grab the knife, then cut myself out.” Anne slowly scooted over to the knife and turned herself around. She then grabbed the knife with her fingers and sawed at the rope until her hands were free. Then she started to work on the rope tied around her feet. As she is sawing at the rope, the door opens and she freezes. Another girl was thrown into the room. Her face was stained with dirt and blood. Anne felt bad for the girl, although she had just now seen her. She looked so terrified, and so young. As anne sawed at the rope on her feet she looked up and asked, “W..why are you here? How did they get you?” The girl then looked up wearily “I..I..this...place used to be my home..t..they killed my whole family that lived here..even my-her voice cracked and she teared up- little twin brother and sister..they were only 5. E..ever since...I've just been….aimlessly..wondering around...trying to avoid them until today.. They caught me..”

   Anne sat there for a while trying to think. “So..uh..what's your name?” The girl looked at her. “D..dominique.. Dominique French.” Anne smiled slightly. “That's a very pretty name.” Dominique smiled and looked down. “We need to get out of here...I..it isn’t safe. They are horrible people..that d..do horrible things…” Anne got up and grabbed Dominique's hand gently and helped her up. “I've actually had a plan to get out of here for a while now.. Cmon...follow me.” Dominique followed her to the unlocked door. They both walked out into the open hallway. They look down the hall and see no one. “Ok i think the coast is clear” Anne whispered. Dominique nodded and walked quietly beside her.
