The past couple of weeks pass by normally. No subtle glances, no cute little smirks, not even a conversation about my grades.
I'm being completely ignored which, for mine and Harry's sake, is probably a good thing. Being ignored means we don't have to deal with the awkwardness.
-------
It's February 13th, the day before Valentine's Day. All throughout the halls you hear couples talking about their plans and how excited they are. I'm one of those "I pretend I hate Valentine's Day but secretly wish I got flowers or chocolate" type of people.
The next day finally arrives and I'm not thrilled about it at all.
I go to all my classes and watch as boys bring their girlfriends bears, flowers, and chocolates. I can't help but wonder when it'll be my turn.
After lunch I solemnly head to my locker to grab my things for English. When I open the locker door, my eyes widen and a gasp escapes my mouth.
Inside my locker was a bouquet of beautiful white and roses. I take it out of my locker, careful not to break any of the delicate flowers.
As I'm admiring them, my hands find something on the back. A note. The only thing written on it is my name. I take it out of the small envelope, hoping to get a clue as to who it's from.
"-Charli,
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
The person I care about
Just happens to be you.
You're beautiful and smart,
Sweet and grand,
I always imagine what it'd be like
to hold your hand.
You'll think I'm not your type,
but I know that's not true,
so meet me after school in the parking lot
and I'll definitely prove it to you.
-Your secret admirer."
I walk into English holding the note in my hand, a smile present on my face.
As I sit in my seat wondering who this person could be, I glance to the front of the room and notice Harry staring at me. When he realizes that we're staring at each other, he smirks and looks down at his desk. Weird.
-----
After school, I head out to the parking lot and scope the surroundings hoping to find the person guilty of leaving me such a cute gesture.
Every time I made eye contact with someone, they either looked away, or stared creepily. Apart from one cuter-than-average boy. Could it be him? Oh. Definitely not him. His boyfriend just kissed him. Time to keep looking.
I walk around the parking lot aimlessly, debating on whether or not I should give up. After every student had exited the parking lot, I decide that it's pointless and begin to walk home. That is, until I heard a deep voice call from behind me.
"Hi, Charli. I see you found your flowers."
