P.O.V benny

"Benjamin, table number three wants more tea," Taylor said as she carries a tray of food out of the kitchen. Taylor is my boss shes a sweet 30-year-old lady who owns her own diner she has shiny blond hair and bright blue eyes. She is like a mother to me. When my own mother walked out on me leaving me on the streets to fend for myself, Taylor was there for me helping me off the street and into her house and let me work at her diner I was 16 then I'm 19 now working with Taylor.

The diner isn't that big but it is popular, from teens who just want to eat and hang out to the elderly couples that just sit, drink tea, and watch the young people shaking their heads and wondering what the world has come to. There are about twenty booths ten back-to-back against the wall and the in the back away from everyone, that where the teens sit. there is also a bar wrapped around the order station that is normally where the bikers or trucker driver sit. The booths are a faded mustard yellow color, the tables dark blue, it doesn't really match the black and white tiled floor and red walls. Taylor said this place needs "a little fix up" I say it needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

I go to re-fill tables threes cups but of course, the table was a table full of drunk men all they did was hit on me. I don't talk much I'm really shy. It's not that I don't like talking or that I don't have friends because I love talking I just have nothing to talk about, and all my friends are away at college. I'm a 5'0 tall girl with bright red hair and dull grey eyes. I mostly keep to my self and the only time I really talk is when I have to take someone's order, of course, I talk to Taylor for hours.

"Hey Benny," Taylor said bouncing over towards me. "Do you wanna go out today we haven't been able to go out in awhile and it's my turn to pick where we go."

"I hate when you pick. I don't feel like going out to bars to help you pick up guys again It wasn't fun," I said. I shiver thinking about the smell of alcohol, sweat, and sex.

"Oh come on, I promise we aren't going to a bar," she said with puppy dog eyes. her blue eyes watering as she clasped her hands together.

I roll my eyes and sigh, "I guess- " before I could finish she squealed. "Thank you, thank you, thank you. You will not regret this."
" I'm starting to regret it already"I mumble but of course she didn't hear me and danced out of the kitchen to get more orders. I follow her out shaking my head. For a grown woman she acts like a teenager.

It was a regular day busy but the norm I got hit on so did Taylor we had to clean up a baby's mess we got some bag customers, but there was something different today. I felt like I was being watched and when I told Taylor she told me that I was being paranoid and that nobody was watching me but I don't believe her. I know my gut feeling. I look at the clock. It's 7:00. I get off at 7:00. might as well clean a little before I leave. I grab a spray bottle and a washcloth and start washing tables.

I wonder who was watching me...

Spray...

I have an idea maybe it was the boy with the blond hair...

wipe...

No, he had a girl with him, maybe...

Spray...spray...

Maybe, it was nobody what if nobody was there, maybe I'm losing my mind, maybe Taylor right I am paranoid...

wipe...

"Benny?"

I jumped. "What are you doing here? It's 8:00. You need to be at home getting ready for our outing." Taylor scowled as she snatches the spray bottle out of my hand.

I didn't realize I had been cleaning the same table for a whole hour.

Taylor handed me my purse and coat and pushed me out the door.

"I don't want to see you until I get to the house at 9:00. Now go get sexified and I'll see you soon. Love you."

I nod. knowing there was no point in trying to help because Taylor wasn't going to let that happen.

I walk up the quiet dark street, being that this is a small town Taylor's dinner isn't on the good side of town and the streets are always feeling cool, dark, and filled with different types of noises. I always feel like someone is watching me.

There was an abandoned store that teens always snuck into to drink or smoke. A beat up truck was parked in the parking lot playing a loud rap song.
Five guys surround the truck dancing laughing and drinking, something you wouldn't be surprised at seeing in small-town West Brook.

I continue to walk down the skinny sidewalk until I trip and fall. All of my things are sprawled all over the street. I groan and I crawl around gathering my belongings until I hear a deep huskie chuckle.

"A little bunny like you shouldn't be walking these streets by herself ." I look up to see a very tall man, leaning against the brick wall. I couldn't see his face but what I can see was amazing, his almost glow in the dark green eye staring at me.his sharp jaw looked like it would cut you if you touch him. His soft pink lips held a lot cigarette between them. His large tattooed arms crossed over his chest, making his mussels bulge. He had a dark dangerous air surrounding him makes me want to shudder.

I looked away from him remembering that I was still on the ground and so was my purse. I picked up my purse and coat standing up and fixing myself still not looking at the handsome stranger. Even if I could feel his green eyes staring me down as I get my self together.

"I---I'mmmm s--sorry " I stutter I hold my head down.

"Why are you apologizing" his dark husky voice ask.

That's what I want to know, why am I apologizing.

"I don't really like talking, not much anyway. Sometimes I talk too much when I'm nervous. Am I talking too much? I don't think I'm nervous, am I? I mean, I don't really know you so I might be nervous but other than that I think I'm okay--"

"Can you shut up." He snapped.

I flinched. He looked at me for a second and smirked.

"What are you doing alone little bunny? A girl like you could get hurt."

"I'm walking home from work." I look down at my feet as I fidget with my hands.

"Be careful little bunny. I don't want to see you on this side of town.okay " he said gruffly as he drops his cigarette on the ground push off the brick wall and steps on it again.

" If I see you again I won't be responsible for my actions," he warned. He looked me up and down before nodding his head and began walking the way came.

"Wait what's your name?" I yelled

He turned around and looked at me. He smirked and said

"Vincent, Vincent cater"
