There was something about him. something about the way he watched me. What I could tell my his expression was that he liked me. Oliver Thomas was the guy every girl wanted in school including me. I wasn't the most popular girl in school but everyone knew who I was. My Grandma is the owner of the most famous restaurant in town Rita's Diner. Everyone went there for off campus lunch. I work there as a waitress. I know when everyone eats there including Oliver.
He came in on a Saturday. He didn't sit to eat or to meet up with friends he came to talk to me. I told grandma I needed to talk to someone. I took my break and went outside with him.
"So what do you need to talk to me about?" I asked running all the possibilities through my brain.
"Umm well I was maybe thinking we could hang out some time? I mean if you want to?" He asked nervously.
Not entirely shocked that he asked me I answered.
"I'm free tonight at seven if that works for you?" I answered more confidently then i thought.
"Great see you tonight." He said as he waved and almost walked into the door.
Later that night he picked me up and we went to Ronoli's for dinner. We talked mainly about college choices and personal interests. We both wanted to go to Stanford. I was still iffy about my college choice because my best friend Ethan wants me to go to east west with him. But I still have time to choose.
When he brought me home he walked me to the door. The porch light was off so that meant my dad was asleep.
"I had a great time" I said inching towards the door.
"So did I" Oliver said as he looked me up and down and smiled.
I went to hug him before he left and the moment was almost to perfect. He leaned in to kiss me when the porch light turned on. My dad opened to door but he ran off before he could meet my dad. Little did I know that date would be the start to my most memorable relationship.
