Sequel to World Upside Down, Trying To Be Normal.

Meet Jules

*Shinoa's POV*

"Mika I swear if you don't get down here right now I'LL COME UP THERE AND DRAG YOU DOWN BY YOUR HAIR!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. We have been late to near enough every meeting all because he sleeps in. I mean yeah I don't  sleep but I get him up at least an hour and a half before the meeting, giving him plenty of time to change.

It's been about 10 years since we made the cure for zombie bites, but that doesn't change the fact that there is still RVS (Rogue Vampires if you don't know) running around. Most of them don't have the deadly vemnon that changes a human into a vampire but the odd number of vampires that can do that have grouped up and are picking off the humans.

They haven't been able to get over our walls luckily  but they are getting weaker over the time and we either need to move on and find a better place or rebuild what has been broken.

"Hey mom what's taking him so long? I don't want General Samuel to complain again at us," I heard and whipped round to see Jules. Her blue hair stood out in the sun that was beaming through the door window at the top, which made me question how she got that colour of hair. Mika's hair was jet black and I had brown. She had just turned 16 not too long and was finally aloud to fight in the defence team.

But she was put into a different squad from Mika and myself so the only times we would see her was either if we bumped into her on the field or in the house. Well when she is out of her room that is. Not many kids at her age were here so she didn't really have anyone to talk to.

Mika finally appeared in front of us after stumbling down the stairs. Leaving the house once again, we set off to meet up with the General for another mission. Over the years the population has grown and the walls have expanded so it was more of a walk to his office. 

"Miss Jules please meet her team at the front gate as soon as possible as a mission has been assigned to your squad,"the intercom boomed and I heard Jules sigh from behind. She picked up her pace as me and Mika did as well. The front gate was near the Generals office so we could say bye at the gate. 

After a few minutes of power walking the gates came into view and Jules team was already there and waiting. She begun to lightly jog towards them, but not before giving us a quick glance. My worst fear was her leaving them walls and she never comes back over them, but the decision to fight wasn't made by me nor Mika. She said at the age of 12 that she wanted to fight and begged us to start training her.

*Jules POV*

Finally time for another shot over the wall. It's a thrill every time the doors open and the sun hits us. My mum thinks I might be a bit crazy but growing up in this world, what can you expect from me. My team had accepted me with warm arms but I never got along with them, we were just working together over the wall and making sure the others don't get them selves kilt.

The intercom starts going off as the daily song come on and this time it was Dream Cather from Set It Off....

  Oh, I've been sitting her for hours
As I wish for this to start
I set my standards high
In hopes they won't fall apart

It's almost like I fell asleep
My doubts have seemed to fade
Because I've opened up my eyes to see

It goes on but the sound of the doors opening start to drown it out. They always play a random song when a team heads out. Once the doors were open enough we headed out so they could close them up behind us. The sky wasn't as clear as it has been the past few days, dark grey clouds were laying over white clouds and the sun was hidden. 

"Chance it might rain guys, like make this a clean swoop and be done before we get caught in it," the leader said and everyone replied but me. Everyone knew that I was a mix of a human and a vampire jue to my mum being a vampire but that didn't bother them. I didn't even need this 'blood bond' that my parents had because I wasn't a full breed.

The radar already started to bleep as we were coming up to a round about. We could see all directions but we saw no outline of a human or a RV down the streets. Then the faintest of a outline started to walk towards us and it was the direction of where the radar was pointing. 

Then it sounded like the radar was broken as it started to rapidly bleep as more dots appeared on the map but they were different colours. Red were RVS, Blue were zombies but they were mostly killed and the two new colours were something else. Looking where it was pointing for the yellow dot nothing was there.

The next minute, on the radar, we see that we are completely surrounded...
