The Sky wept, It's tears falling upon the thick leaves below. They dripped leaf upon leaf, falling in small puddles upon the ground. The pitter-patter of feet on the ground in the forest, a laughter echoed throughout the woodland. A sweet innocence resided in the air as the sound of footsteps continued on.

Upon the sticks and leaves, a thump was heard. The laughter ceased immediately, a tense silence taking it's place. Only the sound of rain remained. The minutes continued on, slowly as they were. Suddenly, a gasp; a cry. The footsteps returned, heavier this time, and more frequent. A whimper.

A nest had fallen, its straw broken and eggs smashed. A girl kneeled above it, painstakingly at the broken home. She carefully stood and ran, as fast as she could, towards her small house. It was made of wood and leaves, not much but it suited her well. Her love of nature.

As quickly as she came, she left, back towards the fallen nest. She dropped to her knees as soon as she arrived, quickly taking a tiny shovel out of her bag. It wasn't much, merely a wooden stick with a flat board attached to it. But it worked as well as any. She shoved it into the ground, digging a small hole. She laid the nest in it, with the broken eggs inside. Then, she covered it back up, patting it flat and placing a rock on top of it.

"I'm sorry, birdies"She whispered into the wind, a tear trailing down her cheek. She turned to leave, her heart heavy. As began to walk, a chirp was heard. She whipped around, her eyes wide. On the rock sat a baby bird, pecking slightly at it, she looked at it, tears clouding her eyes. "Oh, my dear!" She cried as she flung herself forward, holding the bird close to her heart. "However did you get on top of the rock?" She asked it, pouting as the bird looked at her, silently. After a moment, she laughed, sticking her tongue out at the creature. It chirped merrily, fluttering it's tiny wings. "Come on!" She exclaimed, standing up and walking towards her house.

On the way home, she found another nest on the ground, but no eggs were there and it was still in good shape. She picked I gently, the bird on her shoulder, and walked home, delicately as she could.

Upon arriving, she placed the nest by her bedside, a small piece of cloth inside. She closed and locked the door as the rain became heavier, pounding against the now-muddy floor. As she closed the door she closed her eyes as a flashback seized her mind.

"I know you're busy Hunter, but we deserved a holiday too".

"Which is exactly what I'm doing Jenny, I'm not stupid to waste my time and travel a thousand miles to our farmhouse".

"You're the one that built it in the first place!"

"Okay Okay Mom and Dad that's enough! We're going on a holiday remember".

"You stay out of this".

God! Why don't they just stop?I popped my earphones into my ear to block their arguing. A knock on the door interrupted my train of thoughts.

Her heart beat accelerated as she heard another knock.

It can't be.

Nobody knows I'm here. Who would be in the middle of the woods. I haven't seen a single soul since I've been here. Nor has anyone every visited me after the incident.

I won't think about the incident. Stop it I argued with my mind. Another knock startled me again. I was debating with myself whether I should hide under my bed or open the door. What if they found out it was me who did it. I got the courage and I walked up to the door and opened it. There was a man standing beside the door.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Alan Smith."

"And what do you want here."

"I lost the way and I found this place and I thought someone must be staying here, so I thought I would ask if you could help me."

"Oh! I thought you were a snatcher, I'm sorry if that felt wrong but I don't usually get people walking around the woods this hour."

"It's totally fine, May I please come in" Alan said politely.

"Yah you can come in"I replied.

"How did you get here," I asked him.
"It's a long story,"replied Alan nervously.
"Well you are going to stay here for a while so u can tell me when you are ready," I said.
"Okay," He said.
"I will make us some tea," I said.
"Alright."

I stood up and walked to my kitchen and I put the pot on the stove and filled water in it.

"I will make us some tea," She said.
"Alright," I replied with my cheeks bright red.
She was so beautiful and yet so alone what would a girl like her be doing in a place like this I questioned my self repeating the same question in my head again and again.

                  ~•~My POV~•~
The tea just finished and I put the tea  in the cups and walked back to the living room.
"The tea is done," I said shyly.
"I didn't get your name," Alan said.
"I haven't got one,"I replied.
"Then let's give you a name."
"How about Jane."
"No doesn't suit me," I said honestly.
"Sara."
"No."
"How about Amaya Woods," said Alan.
"Yah that sounds so nice," I said nervously.
"You know because you live deep in the woods."
"I love it," I said with my cheeks blowing hot red.
She just blushed.

Suddenly a flashback came upon me,
God!Why don't they just stop? I popped my earphones into my ear to block their arguing.
"Hunter you are going the wrong way we are supposed to go towards the bridge then a left."
"I know where we are going Jenny we are supposed to go past that cliff."
"No we don't just listen to me,"
"Shut up Jenny not another word from you."
Suddenly Jenny turned the wheel towards the bridge and Hunter pulled it back towards the cliff.
Kendra was so fed up that she pulled her earphones out of her ears and tried to stop her parents from causing an accident.
Hunter this time turned the wheel so tight that it would face the cliff but instead the car flipped and fell off the cliff and Kendra fell out of the car and fell in the deep ravine.
The car fell after Kendra was gone.
Just then I woke up with Alan holding me and sprinkling water on my face.

"Ok ok I'm awake," I shouted and pushed him off of me although I really liked him holding me.
"Amaya what happened to you, you just fell into a dream zone and weren't waking up," said Alan quite upset.
"I'm ok I just need some water."
"Okay," said Alan surprisingly.
