my lipstick melted when he kissed my lips and bit into my soul, hiding it inbetween his ribs waiting until the ocean was beneath him to throw it in the pits with the sharks, where the lonely hearts sank.

my flesh rotted without my soul, withering like dried petals in egyptian sand under the punishing sun. i walked away leaving him with his lips dripping with my bloody heart, my lungs wondering where their companion went and i didn't have the guts to tell them an ugly thief boy pick pocketed it.

my bubblegum rose knees wobbled and i sat criss-cross apple sauce beside mama's flowerbed, crying a puddle for the foul roses that laughed at me. boys were the devil's friends and i don't want to kiss another one of lucifer's brothers, they would steal my high spirits every time and with every peck on their filthy pathetic mouths , a bit of me withered into glue on a kindergartener's palm.

i would rather hold hands with the sun and kiss its rays until the end of time and sacrifice my collection of chinese porcelain dolls to taste its ripe core. oh to be with the sun and its love would make for a purer land than paradise.
