Mia: I'm a bit upset about the reaction on my post. I was so excited to announce the news to everyone. I'll be okay, just trying not to read too much into the negative comments 🤍
Kit: I'm here for you, don't shut me out if you need someone to talk to. It's just jealousy and the comments will stop but I still worry about you x
Kit's POV
*Text*
Kit: I'm worried about Mia after the comments on her announcement tonight... I don't understand why everyone's sending hate
Joe: I know! I'm soooo angry. Why are people doing this? Is she okay? Are you with her?
Kit: No, she's at hers, but I know how bad it was for us at first, I feel like I should go to hers to check on her.
Joe: This breaks my heart Kit😭 It's just jealousy, but she shouldn't be having to see this when she's only just announced it. I say go check on her!
IRL *Kit's POV*
I arrive outside Mia's flat, climbing out of the car, slamming the door shut. I'm so angry at all the hate Mia's getting. I've known her for almost 4 years now and she's not the most confident person in the world. It took a lot of convincing to get her to audition for the show and the last thing I wanted for her was any negative backlash. She's been through a lot in the past and that's why I'm so worried about her.
I walk up to her door, knocking and waiting for her to answer. When she doesn't answer, I grab the spare key from underneath the plant pot and unlock the door, walking into near silence.
I see her almost straight away. She's not in bed like I thought she would be, she's curled up in a ball on the sofa, staring straight up at me with a tear stained face.
"Oh Mia", I say softly, feeling my heart break. "Please don't let this knock your confidence" I tell her gently, slowly sitting down next to her and pulling her up and into my chest.
I let her cry for a bit, before she pulls away, wiping her wet cheeks on her sleeves and forcing a brave smile onto her face. "I'm so sorry Kit for being such a mess, I've just been so nervous about joining the show and those comments didn't exactly help" She tells me, taking a shaky breath in.
I nod, smiling back at her, tucking her hair behind her ear. "It's okay Mi, I understand! But everyone in the cast loves you and wants you to be happy. Promise me you'll focus on that" I tell her.
