Chapter 1: And so it Begins

Your parents had moved you down to South Carolina to finish your studies. Although it was a great that they wanted you to do so, but that means that you would miss spending time with them. As you got off the plane, you heard the yelling of what you thought was a child. You turned to see what the commotion was about, but was astonished to see a man, about your age it seems, being yelled at by  what you believe is his girlfriend. You were able to make out what she was yelling for, "Of course you would do something like that! No wonder I've been cheating on you for the past 3 months!" The girl screamed in his face, then quickly turned on her heel and stormed off.

He walked to the bench that was closest to him, sat down, and placed his hands on his face. He was crying. You decided to be nice and walked to the bench he was at, sitting down next to him. "Hey, are you alright?" You asked sweetly. "N-not re-ally." He said, sobbing, but he made an attempt to look at you. He had deep hazel eyes and his face was splattered with freckles. To say the least he was quite attractive. "My girlfriend of two years just broke up with me for helping a girl book a flight" he said wiping his cheeks." I did everything for her and yet she always put me down" you felt a growing anger towards the girl. "Oh, I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, i was just headed to the café, would you like to join me?"  He nodded, "I think that would help a little. My name's john, by the way" "Oh, name is (Y/N)"

"Thanks for buying lunch (Y/N), my friends will be here to pick me up soon. Where are you headed?" " To the university" you said picking up your bags. "Im going there too! Do you need a ride?" John was practically jumping for joy knowing he'd see you often. A white truck drove up to us and a guy with a thick French accent yelled out to John " John, Mon ami, are you ready to g- who's this?" He looked over at you. "This is (Y/N). She was the girl I said was helping me." He said sternly. There were two other people besides him standing there now. "This is Lafayette," John said pointing at the tall French man. " Hercules," pointing at the man standing next to Lafayette." And this is Alexander" pointing at the significantly shorter man next to Hercules. "(Y/N) is headed to the university, do we have room for one more?" He asked his friends, Hercules had pulled them all into a huddle, leaving you to try and make out what they're saying.

"The taxi service around here is terrible, and I doubt she has any relatives close enough to pick her up." "I have no objection to letting her tag along" "Oui, we can't just leave her here. Who knows what might happen" "well?" You blurted out. The four men looked at each other then turned back to you "Yes." They stated in unison​. Hercules grabbed your bags and set them in the truck. The men did their actual formal greetings and talked with you about some odds and ends. Before long all of you had piled into the truck and were headed to the dorms. It was a pretty quiet for most of the ride,Alex looked pretty tired "Alex," "Hm?" "Do you get enough sleep during the night?" He grew silent and started messing with his hair. "N-not exactly. I'm too stressed and busy most nights to actually​ fall asleep."

(Alex' point of view)

I was slightly uncomfortable talking about my sleep habits around someone I had just met, but she was listening and giving me some advice about how to handle this. "Have you tried chamomile tea? It works really well for sleep." I had never heard of that before. "I'm more of a coffee person due to some past experiences" "no wonder! Coffee is full of caffeine. I suggest trying to lay off of the coffee during the night, just try a little bit of tea and see if it works." How is she so good at this advice? Aghhhhhh not again Alex! You can't just fall for a girl just because she helped you. Get to know her. Don't be a fool like you were with Eliza. "I'll try to stay away from coffee, but it is a very old habit of mine." She seemed ecstatic to hear that I'd take her up on that offer. Goodness gracious she is so beautiful when she's happy. Snap out of it!

(Lafayettes' point of view)

Well. That is the first time I have ever seen Alex be so willing to give up coffee just for a girl. But I have to admit​ she is magnifique. Merde. Laf, pull yourself​ together! Focus on the road. "Have the two of you noticed John is practically passed out next to you from all of your talk about tea?" They both quickly turned to see John sleeping against his seatbelt. We all laughed- quietly-  as to not disturb the 'ow you say... Sleeping bear. (Y/N)s laugh is like angels singing -- STOP BEING LIKE THIS LAF YOU KNOW BETTER. Herc seemed to have the same thoughts as I did though because he just looked completely smitten by her.

(Hercs' point of view)

I'm not going to lie. (Y/N) was an amazing person, and she was just so happy and adorable and it made me turn into complete mush. Helping Alex with his insomnia was an incredible feat. He had been like that since highschool. Well we all know for a fact that we liked her, we just felt a strong connection between the girl. "I know this may be a bit out of place but.... Alex might need someone to help him sleep, laf needs some help baking, and I need a model for a line of clothes I'm working on, mannequins are just too unnatural for me. And john, he needs someone to play Mario kart with. Would you like to come live in our dorm?" She seemed slightly shocked but her expression slowly turned back to utter joy as she reached over and planted a big hug around my shoulders continuously saying 'yes' but she said it just a little to loud because John had woken up. Clearly unhappy he crossed his arms and glared at us.

(Johns' point of view)

I had almost forgotten that (Y/N) was there because I was slightly grumpy. I opened my mouth to yell at them but I quickly shut myself up as to not make a complete bitch out of myself in front of her. Alex looked at me and muttered 'thank you' for not raising my voice. They all had huge grins on their faces. "What's with all the excitement?" Herc was the first to speak, " (Y/N) is staying at our dorm!" Damn. "Really!?" I could barely contain myself at the thought of being able to see her face very day. "Yup!" She chimed in.
