(Amy's POV)
I walked up to a two story brick office building located in the heart of Smithtown New York and looks back at the address I had wrote on a small slip of paper. '51 East Main Street, Smithtown. Second-floor suite 203, Mark'.
"Okay Amy, you can do this. Just breathe." I sighed and walked into the building and up the stairs, finding the suite quickly by the odd plaque outside the door.
Mark Fischbach
Human Services
Et non hominibus
I gather myself and knock confidently on his door. A tall man with dark hair and comforting deep brown eyes answers the door rather quickly. He is dressed in a fancy white button up shirt adorned with a loosened blood red tie hanging around his neck. The man leaned against the doorframe, his eyes not leaving my face.
"Hello there, can I help you?" He said, his voice deep and alluring.
"Uhh, hello. My name is Amy Nelson and I am from Miskatonic University. I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about the arcane energy in this are-"
I was cut off as he pulled me inside of his office and pinned me to the wall, his face only inches from my own. His eyes stayed focused on my own as he spoke.
"How exactly do you know about this kind of stuff? You smell as though you're nothing but a human." His voice was deeper and more menacing than it was before.
"I have been researching this at my university." I respond, feeling a blush creep its way across my cheeks. He sighs and releases his grip on me. Mark walks back to his desk and sits the chair behind it, gesturing for me to sit as well.
"How much do you know Miss..?"
"Nelson, Amy Nelson. You can just call me Amy."
"Right. Amy. So how much of this do you know, exactly?"
"Well," I looked up and met Mark's gaze, "I've done extensive research about arcane energies and I've found that there is one here but I don't know the source of it." "Well, I can assure you that I'm not the cause of it. Did you find anything specific about it in your research, like a description?" Mark says as he grabs a notepad from his desk and begins to write something down. I start to talk and he says something again. "Have you heard anything about a 'Stone Warrior'?"
"A 'Stone Warrior'?" I pull out the slip of paper with Mark's address on it and jot down the phrase on the back. I look up to see that his eyes are trained on me as he awaits an answer. "I've not, but I would love to work with you to find out more about this."
"You asking me on a date?" he smiles wide, bearing his teeth showing his rather sharp canines and chuckles a bit. Seeing his teeth startled me a bit and he spoke again. "Did I scare you hon?" He grinned deviously. "Come on, let's grab something to eat. I could really do with a burger, how about you? Give us some more time to talk."
"Uh sure, I am a little hungry. By the way um, not to sound rude but, what are you? Cause I'm getting not human vibes from you." I stumble on my words looking down at the ground upset with the way I worded it, hoping I wasn't offending him.
"Smart kid, I'm a Vampire. But for now, cheese burgers and stone warrior. Sound good? Good, let's go." He lightly pushed me out of his office and locked the door behind him and lead the way to the dinner. I hope to work with him more, I mean, he is kinda cute.
