They danced together in the rain without a care of what they look like because the only thing that matters at this moment is each other.
The way the water streams down his face, hair damp and sparkling, the way it clings to the sides of his face defining every structure and edge.
The way her smile brightens up the damp streets reflecting on puddles of water, her nose and ears red from the cold but her breathe still warm going down his neck as she whispers "I love you" and she can almost feel the way his voice tastes her name.
The world slowed down around them as they spun faster around each other. There was no music, they were dancing to the melody of each others hearts. Their feet moved in perfect harmony splashing water from puddles on the street.
The street lights around them blurred in the rain. They seemed to move faster and faster as the rain fell harder and wind blew colder, yet they felt none of the world around them, in their own nepenthe the world faded away.
There bodies moved together like a bow on a violin, creating their own music that flowed perfectly with the faded rain and dull sun reflecting on the damp streets.
It was a masterpiece at their hands. They'd fallen hopelessly in love as they looked into each others eyes both shining full of bliss. The built up saudade collapsed as his lips met hers and a feeling like rolling thunder ran through their bodies as lightening struck down... and in that moment time stopped and the world faded away.
