I had been looking forward to the beach carnival for months ,it was my favourite time of the year ,the summer vacations had begun,my parents were out of town ,it was awesome .Bella,my best friend from seven years and i had decided to meet at the pier at 9.
I reached the pier exactly at 9 and was waiting for Bella when something when i saw some movement in my peripheral vision. On turning my head I saw that a couple of boys were hitting something hard with their feet and laughing ,it was really dark so i could not see their faces or the thing that was the subject of the laughter or the thing that they were hitting .so i decided to stay low ,hidden behind a barrel and waited .
They were hitting the poor thing with such ferocity it scared ,their laughter was what scared me the most pure maniacal laughter almost as if it was what they wanted to do the most; and that is when i heard it the scream ;the scream of a girl it sounded as if she was crying;begging to leave someone i could only make out what she was saying vaguely for they was really far away, at the edge of the forest.
And suddenly the scream died as unexpectedly as it had started.
my heart was thumping like, crazy in my chest,i could not think of anything at all,my ears still ringing with the scream ,i was so numb with fear that i did not hear the footsteps approaching the pier.
"What do we do do with the bodies?we cannot just throw them in the sea"Said a raspy voice .
"Yes we can.this place is ours and anyway if anyone comes to know nothing is gonna happen."said another voice but this one sounded really juvenile all most like a teen my age 17 or 18 maybe and slightly nervous almost like everything that he had just said was pretence,as if he wanted to show the other person his position.
there was loud plop sound in the water and slowly the boys retreated back into woods i ws so revealed that i almost wanted to laugh and so scared i wanted to cry .
After about 5 minutes i received a text from her saying that she would not be able to come before 10 as she had to look after her brother as her parents had returned back home from work.What!!!!!!!!!!!!NO.
almost an hour passed there was no movement any where ,no noises. They must have left i thought,i had seen a jeep being reversed.
Taking this this as an omen for me to go and investigate ,i slowly crept from my position from behind the barrel half expecting someone would pounce on me and slit my throat but thankfully no such thing happened and tiptoed towards the grove of trees where i had seen the boys .And i was shit scared,i admit i was going there more out of curiosity than some superhero /heroine instinct fro saving someone or whatever it was pitch dark ,no sound could be heard just the rustling of the trees and the sound of music playing some where in the distance, the fair perhaps.
the place where they had been was covered in blood white packets what the hell had happened here.
"hey.What are you doing here" said a voice behind me.
i flipped around with a scream away began to run away as fast as my feet could could carry me but he boy was faster almost like the wind , he caught my wrist and flipped me around.
"hey ,hey calm down ,i just heard a girl scream so i came here to see what was going on.was it you?"
i calmed down i little OK so he is not here to kill me good.But could i trust him?
"yeah,me too i heard it as well,so i came to check.Sorry for over reacting i thought you were you know ........"
he laughed he had a really nice laugh ,very calming and genuine not one to impress someone or something."i understand its ok,i am Hayden by the way." he said still smiling.
"Leila ".now that i had calmed down i noticed that he was cute,ok fine cute was an understatement, he was genuinely good looking, well built and had awesome biceps..........ok stop checking him out will you ,what is wrong with you,SERIOUSLY!!!!NOW OF ALLL TIMES.
"i have never seen you around?"i asked out of genuine curiosity.
"yeah ,i am new here,just moved here from Texas i am living with my uncle. "
"right."i said.i checked my phone .it was 11,my curfew was 11:30.damn!!!!its will take 45 minutes at-least i am dead,so DEAD.
"Ok i better go its late,my curfew is 11:30 so Umm.. see you around i guess."i said with a smile.
"umm.....i can drop you,............if..........you......want....its really late you know........" Was he blushing? but i was so could not be sure.
"ok."i agreed ;refusing him would be rude and any way he seemed nice and really sweet.
"great,then this way."
i followed him to a black Land Rover Evoque.Wow.
"Nice car." i said genuinely impressed.
"Thanks,it was a birthday gift from my parents . "looking at me from the drivers seat.

in less than 15 minutes we had reached my house.i thanked him and asked him to come inside but he said he had his own curfew and would definitely come some other time.
"i will see you around,i hope ."he said flashing his million dollar smile drove away leaving me feeling a peculiar and oddly happy,excited sensation that i had never felt before .
