Louis Tomlinson awoke to his four year old son, Jacob, poking his face. The giggles of the four year old erupted into the bedroom as his father began to tickle him.

"Daddy s-stop," Jacob spoke in between his laughter. Louis smiled and stopped tickling his son, kissing him on his cheek instead.

Unfortunately when Louis' former boyfriend had found out that Louis was pregnant with Jacob; he left him, saying he wasn't ready for parenthood yet. If only he knew that Louis had felt the same way throughout his entire pregnancy, that was until he held Jacob for the first time, after that he knew that he was beyond ready.

Of course the first few months with a newborn were a struggle, and thankfully his family and friends were extremely helpful.

"Come on bubs, we need to get ready," Louis told his son. He got out of bed and picked Jacob up, carrying him all the way to the small kitchen in his apartment.

"Are we having pancakes?" Jacob asked. Lately the four year old had been craving pancakes, but unfortunately due to Louis' busy schedule, he hasn't been able to make them for his son. That, and he wasn't all that excellent at cooking.

Louis looked at the clock and sighed, again he just wouldn't have the time to make them, and that broke his heart knowing it would make Jacob upset.

"I'm sorry Jacob, but I have to get to work," replied Louis, his voice sounding sad.

The four year old frowned, "But you're always working and at school daddy," he pointed out.  It was a true statement. Louis was always busy working and going to college that he almost never saw Jacob, but he didn't know how to explain that he needed to work to make money for the both of them. He wasn't sure how to explain that if he didn't pay his rent soon; the family of two wouldn't have a place to live.

Some nights Louis wouldn't even eat dinner just so Jacob got enough to eat. The four year old always offered food to his father, but Louis politely declined saying he was not hungry.

Louis sighed once again, "I know bubs, and I wish I could spend more time with you, but daddy needs to work so you can have food, clothes, a place to live, and all those toys I buy for you." It wasn't an easy thing to explain to a four year old, and Louis could only hope that Jacob understood what he was talking about.

Louis had ended up fixing a bowl of cereal for Jacob - it being something he couldn't quite burn. Then he got himself and Jacob dressed for the day before heading out to his car; which wasn't anything fancy, but it got them around.

....

Louis had just finished his job and was now on his way to his night classes; except he was running late, due to Jacob wanting Louis to stay with him after he picked him up from daycare. But the four year old only wanted to spend more time with his father.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry," Louis cried to the man in front of him. He had just bumped into a stranger and somehow managed to spill his coffee all over his expensive, strange patterned clothing.

"What the hell is wrong with you? This is Gucci!" The man shouted at Louis. He had green eyes paired with shoulder length, brown curly hair.

Louis gulped, "Again I am sorry, but if you'll excuse me, I really need to get to my classes."

The stranger huffed back at Louis, "Fine; here's the card for my agent, expect a call regarding my dry cleaning bill."

He stormed away from Louis- leaving the younger boy shocked at what just happened.

"Jerk," mumbled Louis. He sighed to himself and made his way to his classes, hoping to not have another encounter with anyone.

...

"Daddy!" Jacob shouted when Louis walked through the door.

"Hi bubs," Louis greeted him. "What're you still doing awake?" It was nine-thirty pm - which was way past the four year olds bedtime.

"Emily said I could stay awake," Jacob told him, pointing towards his nightly babysitter, who at this moment decided to step into the foyer.

"I hope that's alright Mr. Tomlinson, he kept begging me to let him stay up and see you," she explained.

Louis smiled, "Yes that is fine, besides I understand because he has been missing me quite a lot recently."

After the two had exchanged their goodbyes, and Louis had gotten himself ready for bed; Jacob and him were cuddled together in Louis' bed. Now normally Louis wouldn't allow Jacob sleeping in the same bed his him, but let this time slide as the four year has been missing him.

"I love you so much bubs," Louis whispered to his son, kissing him on the forehead, and falling asleep himself.

I do hope this was good for my first time writing about Larry. Please let me know if you think there are any changes I should make to this chapter or any future ones.
