In the distant past, the universe was divided into three factions.

The Otaru Clan's vision was to fill all of existence with war, for if there is war, there cannot be peace.

The Armiki Clan's vision was to fill all of existence with peace, for if there is peace, there cannot be war.

It may seem I have you at a standstill. If there is a clan who hates peace, and then a clan who hates war, how can there be a third clan? Well let me answer that for you.

The Eshiok Clan's vision was to empty existence completely, for if there is nothing, there can be no war, nor peace, only nothing.

When the Angels of Armiki and the Demons of Otaru clashed with the Devils of Eshiok, they realized something. The clan would stop at nothing to wipe out everything, even themselves, to get what they wanted.

An unlikely alliance formed between Aviri, the Light-Bearer, Leader of the Armiki Clan, and Soguldor, the Endless Shade, Leader of the Otaru Clan.

After vanquishing Yelvala, the Bottomless, they wiped out the rest of Eshiok in what you people call a "year".

Soon thereafter, the clans became one, The Otarumiki Clan. They realized that with the power the two clans possessed, it would be impossible to stop them. Aviri was satisfied by the long years of peace the clan shared, and Soguldor was pleased by the small factions that would attempt war against the ultimate clan.

Years past and eventually, Aviri had borne her first child, to Soguldor. The child was half Angel, and half Demon, yet appeared to be neither. Instead it was a small drone, of something that would haunt them forever.

They named the Child Emrakul, the Devoid Lord. Within the next few years, three other clans rose from the ashes of the Eshiok. The Frika, The Shenju, and the Seruus.

Soon all four Clans combined into the Ultimate Clan, but as time drove on, the clan drove itself apart. Torn by the threads of Emrakul, who had now assumed command after it's mother and father's death.

But one person, brave enough, defeated Emrakul, and Exiled him away. He knew the solution would only be temporary, so to prevent future loss of lives, he sacrificed his own to create ten beings of pure sustained mana, and sealed them away with Emrakul.

If the great Devoid Lord were to ever awaken, he would take with him his bane, and in turn, end his own life.
