I woke up groggily looking at the clock. 11:00 am wow I slept in. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand next to me. 'Oh right it's my birthday. I'm 16 now' I thought to myself. I doubt anyone remembered...
Nope they remembered
I had over 20 new texts and hundreds of Instagram notifications.
Pig 🐷: happy birthday Yurio! おたんじょおびおめでとうユリオ！
I smiled. The pig had been teaching me Japanese therefore I understood a bit of what he said.
Old Man: Yurio!!! Happy Birthday!!!! Come to our place at 6 pm for a celebration!!
Great. Oh well he'll be mad if I don't go. Most of the other texts were from fellow skaters that I considered acquaintances, but not really people close to me. I scrolled and saw one that caught my interest.
Beka ❤️: happy birthday
I was happy he remembered.

So it turns out Viktor had planned a party for me. All of the skaters in the last GP series were there.

I walked outside and was about to text Otabek when I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up and saw my best friend and ran up to him, losing my "angry" facade and hugging him.
